I was having issues with a hotel in was working at; there were some accusations on their end on my “performance” so said they were going to take me off the schedule until they spoke with HR, they told me give them a week and they would contact me, they never did so i did and was told they were still speaking to HR about it and at that time i was not terminated and they would reach out to me if i was.
Well i contacted again after 2 weeks of silence and was ignored that was about 2 months ago. This caused me to obviously wait to see if i would be put back on so i was unable to make money i started looking for jobs, i no longer have a phone bill because of how far behind it got and i had to pawn some stuff to pay for bills leaving what i pawned basically to rack up debt and now that is a lot,i am probably going to lose those soon. it seems as if they are keeping me on the schedule so i cant get unemployment or im wondering why they’re doing what they’re doing because i can still log in the system with an active job title they just don’t let me work, and ignore me.
This feels wrong and illegal and i’m unsure of what to do , i tried filing for unemployment but i know when it comes to this job if they reach out they will probably say i still have a job, what can i do about this?
