Can my work tell if I use a macro? WFH

Like most here in a wfh environment, I sometimes like to bend the rules a little bit to keep my little green light on. I have been using a macro in excel that will run and save the document every 4 minutes but I am curious to know if my work/IT is able to see if I am using a macro for this purpose. It's frustrating because no matter what job I have had I have felt that there's not enough work for a full work week (besides serving, that sucked). I find myself constantly feeling guilty and stressed that I will be “found out” and fired. Don't get me wrong, I mess around whether I am in the office or not but ALWAYS get my work done and do things as soon as they hit my desk/email. I just find there's not enough to do to keep me fully busy for 40+ hrs a week and thus am on youtube, reddit, reading, etc. When I am not busy.
