Can they still ask me to come in?

Writing this as I'm sitting on the toilet and have informed my boss about me not being able to come in. I work in child care and am a newly appointed room leader but I have recently requested to step down. Currently there are only 2 permanent staff, me and this other lady. The other staff has taken a step back and now not working on Fridays. The Ed Leader was supposed to take over the room but she hasn't be in any of the Fridays and I can count on one hand how many times she'd been in the room. The Ed Leader was supposed to come in and help me out this morning but turns out she's not even there. I don't feel supported, I feel like I am on my own in this while the other rooms have 5 permanent staffs to rotate, program etc.

I have only been at this job for less than 3 months and am prepared to hand in my two week's.
