As a part time employee for night shifts my schedule gets changed a lot. Can anyone tell me when my schedule has to be posted by? Most times it’s around 3-5pm on Saturday which can be very hectic if I need to work that night.

I agree. No one wants to work
Seriously. Why would anyone want to work? Animals don't want to work. They do enough to get by and then lay around all day. They don't hunt because it's fun. Humans are meant to do the same thing. CEOs and the owner class don't want to work. That's why they got these jobs. Because owning things means you can make others work instead. They know work sucks and they don't want to work. If you're enjoying your job, or if you're enjoying a physical task, that's not work. That's a hobby. There's some jobs that suck less than others and we'll gravitate towards those when possible all we can do less work, but if you win lottery, you're probably quitting your job because nobody wants to work.
I graduated this year and started my first job about two months ago. Thanks to the internet I already knew employees work 10+ hours on a daily basis. My team come to the office by 11 a.m. leaves by 5 p.m. and continues the work at home till 9-10 p.m., which is honestly much better than a lot of the other teams, who have to stay in the office till their work is done. The problem started when this new girl joined my team about two weeks ago. She is the ideal employee. She comes to the office before everyone else at 9.30 a.m. and leaves after everyone, at 8 p.m., even though no one has told her to. Once, I overheard her jokingly telling her mentor he should finish his work instead of talking about going home. I am not a very social person and am terrible at small…
This has been on my mind the past couple of weeks and how so many people are tied to certain jobs because of money and others don’t want to go to certain jobs because they don’t want to go to school for 8 years. If you could just hop into any job this instant, just based off of pure enjoyment, what would it be ? Thank you for your time
I have always lived by the motto “respect everyone” and was always behaving like that but i started losing that since my first job 5 years ago. First Job: i started working as a working student for a company of 2 people and was running projects on my own and then i have quit in the middle of the project because i was clearly underpaid and worked 60+ hours a week in a toxic environment. After i quit and started a new job the old employer sent an Email to me with a CC to my new company saying that i didn't work as a software engineer but rather as a social media something and was trying his best in the email to make me look bad. I called them on the phone saying what is wrong with you, they answered that it's because i have quit in the middle…
Them: Well you signed xyz so… you aren't entitled to this per the agreement Me: Yeah but that's just a piece of paper it has nothing to do with me and you Them: Well it's an agreement that you signed with terms and conditions. Also you need to do a, b, and c Me: Can I see that agreement? Since we're playing that game does it say I have to do this Them: It does that is part of the terms of the agreement that you signed Me: Sure, I signed it but it's just a piece of paper and it also says you can terminate me whenever you want for whatever reason – so again to me it's meaningless. Them: well it means something to me… Me: But sure I'll do a,b and c but not because of the paper but because I'll be good to you if you're…
I am very explicitly and outwardly adversarial towards healthcare, dental, and such being tied to your place of work. I always treat it with some sort of caution and a bit of contempt. All I truly, realistically, honestly care about is being able to afford an apartment or home by myself. I live very humbly, don’t have a lot, so if I could just make enough money to afford a place to live, that’s all I want. Not sure if this applies directly to this subreddit, but it’d be cool to hear opinions on this.
I believe my current company called the place I was leaving to work at and sabotaged me 10 days before my start date. I was told concerning issues were brought to light. References were blamed but I followed up with all of them and they said their was no chance they changed their mind from something they said. Now, my current company says I “could” stay but that suddenly everyone is complaining about me and my boss said she couldn’t find anyone who was willing to work with me. So Argo I’d have basically no hours or clients. Pretty sure they blackballed me for some reason.
