For context: Been with this company about 2.5+ years. Mid-level manager, 6 figures/year compensation and killer benefits. No remote work, some local travel. I’m transgender – non disclosed to my work place. I work in a very rough environment – racist comments from our clients are something we hear pretty typically, anti female and anti LGBTQ+. Not from internally but several comments from my boss about women in the workplace over the course of the years. About 5 months ago, my VP called me directly and asked “what’s going on” while my boss was out of town…. I had no idea what he meant, until he revealed to me that 2 other managers in my area had made complaints about my boss, his management style, us not being able to hold on to people for longer than a few months etc. I said there were some problems but figured ‘It…

You guys…I quit my job!
I just gave notice at what had become a toxic and dispiriting workplace. There was a bizarre combination of constant, haphazard changes and suffocating micromanagement. I'm leaving for a job that will pay 25% more, allow me to manage my own time, and give me the freedom to run my own department. What about conflicts with customers/clients who overstep boundaries?” “What are some reasons for employees to end a working relationship with your company?” “What is the hardest part about your job? Why?” “If you could change one thing about your work environment, what would it be and why?” Do you have any questions that you…

pyramid scheme
I currently have two jobs. Job A required me to come to a meeting that I already mentioned previously I was unable to go to (a week notice). Job A wanted me to be there for a pre-dry run rehearsal to the actual dry-run rehearsal of a powerpoint on Wednesday for a presentation next Monday. Basically we are kissing the bigger boss's ass for a few minutes to show we are good employees and what we are bringing to the table this summer. Job B called me into a sudden meeting at lunch to offer me a better position and pay and bonus…and pay for my certifications. Job A's boss blew up my phone and email yelling at me for missing the meeting I mentioned I couldn't go to. Then I got guilt tripped and basically told it wouldn't have happened if I had been more cooperative. Another way of…
