I hate it. I need to vent
I have been watching YouTube videos about living off grid and camping in cars… etc Their faces look happy and calm. They enjoy their time minute to minute. They actually sit down and eat and enjoy their meal. Why jobs are making life so complicated. Its hard to find a job. You can get rejected just because HR or hiring manager didn’t like based on their personal opinion of you You get a job and it drains you and makes you sad and depressed while managers act like their gods controlling your fate. All of us experienced feeling, disrespected, undervalued, unappreciated. And worse most jobs now get away with taking away your lunch break. Which is a basic human need. If you think about it everything is free in nature, food, water, even energy. Its like we are paying for whats already there. I am sick and tired of this,…
Tale of the service industry
I am currently employed, but am taking this opportunity with the labor shortage in my area to get involved in a new field with more pay that would usually require experience to apply to. Every time I apply to a job on Indeed, they receive my application. Over half the time that I am offered an interview, they have me hand-write my application again. It’s so fucking frustrating. That’s all. Just employers not doing their due diligence.

Let me start by saying that I absolutely understand every story I’ve read on here about people quitting their jobs, and I love it. I’ve done it myself. Walked the fuck out because of places not generally respecting human life. However, with my latest job I decided to do something different. Instead of quitting and just hoping I would move on to something better, and develop another dream to be disillusioned with later on which I’m sure many of you can relate to, my coworkers and I instead decided to stand and fight. As coworkers, we’ve gone through all of the classic corporate bullshit together; Unsafe work conditions, unfair treatment and incompetence from management, and the one we all love the most, exploitive compensation and pay structure. We make a company millions upon millions of dollars while their common worker absolutely and undeniably struggles to pay for food and bills.…

a positive story
I used to drive semi trucks, the route i was running got changed so the company was going to let me go. The company that advises them on how to build and grow their business decided to hire me to work from home. My job, research and recruiting. Today i finished up and presented an unassigned research project. They didn't know i waa looking into this but had previously told me to look into things i deem appropriate. I presented my findings with almost all my I's dotted and T's crossed and the bosses LOVED IT!!! It will save half a dozen people an hour a day each and it'll cost the company around 4k to put into place. Happier workers and for such a small cost, they are excited to move forward with this.
