I am a Field service engineer for a STEM company, haven't recieved a raise in three years but we have gotten bonuses for working through covid as essential. I'm having recruiters hit me up for other companies on LinkedIn constantly and have used your advice and let my first interaction with them be how much is budgeted. Their estimate based off my very unpolished page was starting at 20k more than what I'm at. I like my job. Is there a way I can mention this to someone above me and negotiate for a raise with it? I've never done anything along these lines and don't know where to start or, more importantly, HOW to start. Any suggestions would be absolutely appreciated

I'll try to keep this short, im asking for advice because I feel genuinely wronged and exploited and I'm still reeling from what happened: I got a new SALES (important detail) job in December selling solar to people. Specifically, it's a sales CLOSER position. Company/recruiter specifically advertised NO cold calling, NO door knocking, and payment via commissions only. My only responsibility is/was to go to the leads/appointments provided and show a customer a proposal and get them to sign. Pretty standard stuff. I was also promised paid training (I have this in writing from the recruiter). I completed all online and in person training by the end of January and I was expecting to go out on sales leads the next week. I'm an American who's lived outside the US for a little over a decade and I'm in my early 30s. So I live in the UK now for almost 1 year and a half after living in Portugal for almost 4 years prior (miss that place).
