The only legitimate protest against tipping culture is to not frequent restaurants that do not pay their employees a living wage. Otherwise, you are financially supporting the system of passing the paying of wages to the consumer. Anything else is just window dressing trying to justify you being a cheap piece of shit that looks down on restaurant servers.

Why don’t you guys move to Europe?
I mean, guys, your working and health condition really suck. I've been grown in Western Europe (Italy), here we were not really touched by the American dream. Our nation is surely americanized but there are plenty of things we would not accept (ie being fired for no reason or not having free healthcare). Surely Italy isn't the best country in the world. We have plenty of problems too, starting from relatively low-wages (although our percentage of working poor is lower than the US), insane waiting time for routine medical controls (not really free but not costly) and relatively spreaded corruption. BUT if we have some real health issue we would go straight to the hospital and being taken care by some pretty good doctors. If we are sick we have something about 3 months of paid leave and the next three month with 50% of our wages. We can't get…
I literally had to demote myself today

I'm a very high functioning autistic, people tends to bully me because I'm weird so it was a relief when – first time in my life -, I managed to completely fit in and they also saw I'm good in logical things so I got a promotion in a very short time with a month of probation. They assured me it was a legit promotion with job title change and pay raise and all…I was so freaking happy. Time flew by I did my things fast and without mistakes, everyone was glad and probation time ended and not a word from my supervisor. I waited a few days then asked him what was going on. He asked for my patience while he consults with his boss (in fact, OUR patience because a few of my colleagues also got a raise),…
Annndddd… You’ve lost my interest.

I (21M, living in England) called my manager and said due to the conflict I cannot come in. I get anxious easily and world affairs always trouble me. My managers response when I told him? That if i'm not sick or don't need parental or dependant leave, it's not a valid reason, and he was kind of laughing alittle i'm sure I heard it, as he said it? He said russia has nothing to do with the UK and not to worry right now and that can I come in? He said I did the same thing when China was in the news about Taiwan? I Which has nothing to do with this. I was mortified and didn't…
