Hello, I've been thinking what would be the good new term to describe an economic system that is Not socialist/communist. Because both have their own perception/stigma due to what has been taught over the years. Allowing private profit but the said profit is distributed proportionally to everyone in the organization, not just to the one holding the capital. In a way, it could be called a Modern Cooperative So far, my ideas are “Proportionalist”/'Workist”/”Laborist”/”Cooperatist”/”Cooperativist”/”Fairist”? What are your ideas? Thank you beforehand everyone!
In A Dilemma
I work as a hotel reseptionist. Now the job itself isn't difficult for me, I manage. But the hotel I'm working for and my co-workers are lazy and I don't want to work for my boss because of the bad decisions he makes. There are so many problems with the management and it makes me frustrated. I want to work in an orginized and somewhat decent teamwork enviornment and none of that exists in this hotel. And sometimes I'm the one who gets blamed for shit by my co-workers. (I'm fine about customers complaining because they don't know but co-workers?) Like for example if the AC doesn't work in the room, or if the room is dirty but I'm told otherwise in both cases. So, I give the room that is marked clean and working, and if it's not, it my fault for giving that room because I should've known.…
This is not school. The employees are adults. Start treating them with respect. Write-ups are like “I'm gonna tell your mom”…
In 2003, I graduated college and wanted to work as a PGA golf professional. Not the one where you play on Tour, the one that works at a Country Club and runs the daily operation. I loved the game and despite having a 4-year degree and college debt, I went for it. I was 22 years old, loved the game and would do anything to succeed. What I didn't realize was working 10 hour days, 6 days a week for a salary was not only dumb, it was horrible for my health. Yes, I was at a great spot in South Florida, one where all the PGA stars are today and thought I had the world. Nope. I gained clarity in my 3rd season. We had a Head Golf Professional, I was the 1st Assistant and a younger kid was our 2nd Assistant. He was the guy that wanted the…
Not sure what to do…
Had a kidney stone last week. Worst pain in my entire life. But I got through it. This week, my boss, one of 4 employees, has left for a vacation. Her first in 2 years. This boss is great, minus the fact that we all get shit hours. The pay is good though. I woke up with another kidney stone. Extreme pain. I need to see a urologist, which I can't afford, but since it's stone 2 now I definitely need to as I've been drinking 2 liters of water a day (well, trying to. Some days I dont quite get there and yesterday i forgot to drink water entirely and I'm pissed at myself.) That leaves 2 coworkers. One is sick. That leaves 1 coworker. Who is a highschooler and most likely won't be up when it's time for me to open the store. I've message the teams group…
