The U.S. Department of Labor recovered thousands in tips for employees at a New Hampshire restaurant where managers improperly took their own cuts from the employee tip pool, the department's Wage and Hour Division announced. Dos Amigos Burritos, a restaurant in Concord, New Hampshire, wrongfully included managers in its employee tip pool, which led the federal agency to recover $61,788 in tips and liquidated damages for 39 workers. “Tipped workers in the food services industry rely on their hard-earned tips to make ends meet. Restaurant employers must understand that keeping workers’ tips or diverting a portion of these tips to managers or supervisors in a tip pool is illegal,” Steven McKinney, the division's district director in Manchester, New Hampshire, said in a news release. https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2022/02/21/managers-cant-dip-into-employee-tip-pool/6878178001/

Since then, the board has said they want to get me a company cell phone for my work, but they are dragging their feet. I have sent the information to them months ago (per their request). My annual review is coming up in March. How do…

Capitalism is about finding the cheapest way to make a lot of money which prefers tiny percent of super succesfull people. Easiest way to cut costs? Low wages. Almost every job is doing that. Lowballing people. Almost every job is like that. Organizing Unions is not easy. But there is something small group can do – spam websites with job offerts with good playing fake jobs. Easy to fill – just cv or li link with mentioned salary. Good but not too good so it wont look immediately fake. So people would see they can earn more. So employers would see that there is competition. Do it in a way that would not take time of normal people, but show them they should earn more. Why? You earn, for example 15 an hour. Its still shit but best you can do in your area. So you know you cant earn…
