It’s so funny when boomers decide to tell you that you’re not looking hard enough and that no one wants to work but you’ve applied to 30 jobs in the area, you have one interview and you didn’t get the job. Suddenly it’s the workers fault for not wanting to work even though no one will hire.

Will be saying my goodbyes to my childhood dog tonight. I feel physically sick and have been crying all morning. Unfortunately I’m new to this job and no one is able to cover my shift today, so I feel guilty for calling in sick. I have worked in this departement for 6ish months, but I've worked in the actual store for almost a year now. I started out as a grinder, which is the 12-8 shift. I have no luck getting a job without experience but then because I have no experience I cannot get any experience. A lot of my friends have lied successfully on their resumes but they are in different fields of work than I am. I was wondering if anyone had ever lied about their experience working in a lab. So I have been thinking a lot lately about how many established companies that may even be considered institutions of corporate America are just names on the outside and nothing more. On the inside, they are plagued by incompetence, inefficiency and overall chaos. I really want to understand how these companies make it on the fortune 500, get awards and distinctions and then once you get there you realize the place is an utter disaster even though it may be a company that is a household name (Big Pharma company, large retailer etc.) or have record profits. How did they achieve this when there is so much incompetence on the inside?
