Thanks for scanning our coach tickets and not charging us extra to sit in business class. It's a full train and u the man.

Its none of my business if the store makes this much money this hour, or any time for that matter. It's not like either of us gets a dime of extra pay if we make the business profitable today. This is why I detest working in a retail environment dominated by the idea that you need to “sell, sell, sell!” If you really wanna make me sell things, make it worth my time.
With the retirement age going up every time I look, it looks like I will never retire. So without retiring, will we ever see all the money put in our pension pots?
The Pizza Rabbit Hole
I make about 50$ an hour, work 44 hours per week…but when ordering pizza I realized…what the fuck is up with these prices. I'm paying close to 17$ for a medium sized pizza …then my mind drifted…I started doing some research…why is pizza so fucking expensive? Cost of ingredients going up… Then I went down another rabbit hole…holy shit…minimum wage costs close to one of these pizza and it strikes me…cost of living is going up so fucking fast…what the fuck are we supposed to do. I'm not even interested in buying property ..let along a fucking pizza anymore. Fuck. I miss when pizza was 12$.
Where’s the money option?
I swear I have never worked in a restaurant/fast food job where as soon as you start you hear about all of the gossip/opinions of the other employees/managers without even meeting some of these people. I’ve had managers/other employees intentionally try to get me to hate another co worker and develop an biased opinion about them without even getting to know them. They will lie and fabricate stories just so they can try to brainwash you into believing them. And the longer you work there, you may end up even finding yourself doing some of these things. It even turns into a cult atmosphere where you start to hate people that leave to better themselves like they don’t deserve a better job with a higher income, all because everyone is mad that they are “fucking us over”. Don’t get me wrong, I have met some cool people working these types…
In my city, I kept hearing about “workers shortages” in retail like grocery stores. These front line positions that seemingly couldn't find or keep employees. These weren't mom and pop shops – these were grocery stores and pharmacies owned by arguably the largest corp in the country. I took a shot and applied at one of the grocery positions – not a single place was hiring full time, only part time, minimum wage. Add to that, part time hours aren't guaranteed. You may get only 4 hours per week minimum. I took the job on for extra cash and regularly only clocked 8 hours a week (two, 4-hour shifts). It wasn't even worth the drive there and back. I quit. I can only imagine they don't want to hire full time employees so they don't have to pay benefits. I have no doubt I would have stayed if I had…
TL;DR BELOW Couple quick facts… I'm 40, my highest level of education is a two year business admin degree, and I'm an ex-con. No kids. Single. No debt. Long story short, got in trouble when I was 19, spent ages 23-26 in prison. Got out, couldn't get a job. Started selling weed and wouldn't you know I simultaneously had the most money I ever had with the everyday freedom to go with it. This was sustained for about 8 years until legalization pretty much ended it. Had to somehow try to find a job. Luckily my sister was pretty well regarded at the car dealership she worked for and I was able to get a foot in at the parts department. So now (then) in 2018 at the age of 36 after a 12 year gap in my resume, I'm making $14 an hour, or about $27,000 a year. A…
