Job is fully staffed, runs an Indeed anyways.

Been working for a place for a few weeks with an impossible to achieve sales quota, a 30 day $500 retention bonus AND despite being fully staffed they constantly run ads on Indeed. Wanna bet no one actually lasts 30 days? 🤣🤣

Boss Told Me to Stop Working

I need some advice as something feels really fishy about this situation. I recently discovered that a new hire was making significantly more than I was. I went to discuss this with my boss and let him know that if I wasn't afforded a raise that I would be putting in my resignation. When he mentioned the company policy about not discussing wages, I made sure to make note that it was against the law to prohibit employees from discussing wages. When I left I asked that my year end bonus, my PTO, and my final paycheck would be paid out at the end of the month. This morning I received a call from my boss. He let me know that my bonus, my PTO in my final paycheck would indeed be delivered at the end of the month and that I also would not need to work anymore. For…

Boss rescinding flexible hours after I came to work “late” because I had completed my duties the day before.

Im a physical therapist and I do a lot of prep work and see patients all day long. We have a system where if they schedule more than 5 evaluations, they block some documentation time. Well, it just so happened that my documentation time was first thing in the morning. I had finished all of my prep the day before so I figure I could come in later in the day. Well, one of my coworkers snitched and apparently they're enforcing my hours versus being flexible (which they touted as an advantage before I was hired). I accepted a job at Kaiser because of the benefits even though it meant I had a 5$/hour paycut. I'm salty but I don't know how to respond without shooting myself in the foot. I need your help anti-work. How do I respond ?

Thanks to this subreddit I am moving on

Over the Christmas break I had a decent amount of time off to reflect and evaluate my situation, based off of reading many of the sh*t show horror stories and experiences people have had to deal with in their working lives on here. I identified with so many different situations and decided to browse. I went to the first reputable company in my industry local to where i live in the UK and coincidently found a job posting for my current role advertised (coincidence or fate?). Anyway.. today I got the official offer, with a £38k increase from my original £32k salary, plus the opportunity to earn a further £20k per annum in overtime as well as yearly pay rises and a profit related bonus. From £32k to potentially £90k! Thank you posters for r/antiwork for making me realise that if you are unhappy – do something about it!

Resigning so that promotion is effective

First off, forgive me if this is the wrong sub for asking this advice. I just got promoted but I want to leave the company. The promotion isn’t effective until March 1st. I’d like to resign and have my last day be March 1st. If my last day is the same day the promotion is effective, can I legally claim the new title from the promotion on my resume? Or will that fail a background check at some future job if someone calls the company?

What do you do for work and how much do you make?

Do you like your job? How did you get into that field of work? What would you have done differently? I have my degree in science and I keep going back to customer service jobs because I make more money, and they’re usually much more enjoyable work environments. In customer service, there is comraderie among my coworkers and I, the worst experiences are typically with asshole customers. In my previous lab jobs, it is incredibly boring, I don’t get any social interaction with anyone, and my coworkers were difficult to be around most of the time or we were basically strangers. If it’s not a lab doing research, it feels a lot more like a production environment and the work feels meaningless and monotonous. I don’t want to be a server forever, but I don’t know what to do since every other entry level job will be a pay cut…
