KEEP PRESSURE ON STARBUCKS!
Store after Store right now is tipping into Unionized status! Keep pressure on! Support the workers of unionized stores, stop in and say great work! Support the workers of non-unionized stores by dropping in, telling them about all the stores that HAVE unionized, and the BENEFITS of unionization! We've got Starbucks running scared! Keep up the pressure! Keep the union wave going! Don't stop till more than HALF the country's starbucks are under a union!
This morning me and my pops went Cracker Barrel. Jesus fucking Christ. Boomer hell doesn’t even describe it. They were extremely short-staffed but the place was packed like always. There was a long formed in front of the hostess’ station with boomers bitching that there was never a line before. When they get up to the hostess, I hear “you need to seat people faster, there was never a line here before.” The hostess replies very professionally, “I’m sorry about the wait ma’am, we are dealing with staffing issues right now and appreciate your patience.” We were in line not even 5 minutes. Not even 5 goddamn minutes. They weren’t actually inconvenienced by the line. The just wanted to be seated immediately. About 3 minutes into my 5 minute wait, the hostess is again explaining to yet another boomer why there is a line and guys, I shit you not,…
Bruh… Disgusting
Today’s socialists…
Socialists from the 19. Century fought for the right to work, but today's socialists are fighting for the right not to work…
I get it now
The Elites use Political extremist groups like some of the ones on this sub to scare people away from any real change Crony Capitalism is a failed system So to keep the slaves in check they create extremist socialist and communist groups to scare the majority away from a real revolution using divide and conquer tactics. As long as the Far Right and The Far left keep fighting, The silent majority will never want a real revolution because they’ve been exposed to far left propaganda It all makes so much sense to me now. I also see why it will never change which is kinda sad.
My parents are currently pleading with me to get a job while also in college. The only problem is the paychecks I get from minimum wage jobs I feel personally aren’t equivalent to my work ethic. The companies don’t view you highly, so when you think of yourself highly and you have this company viewing you as a number it hurts your confidence a bit. Any thoughts on what to do?
(or, if you're not American, insert the largest socialist org in your own country here) People quitting their jobs en masse is nothing more than an economic trend and it will fizzle and die the second the economic winds change, if it is not coordinated and organized at a mass level in a socialist organization. DSA is still the largest socialist org in the US, and its orientation and fate is not yet set in stone. Locals around the country are doing incredible work, despite the problems with national leadership. It is very possible for motivated people to contest and create the future of the org. Every day that ideologically committed people like you, the person reading this, waffle and come up with excuses for why you aren't involved in a national socialist organization, DSA drifts further toward being a non-profit for the democrats. the iron is still hot, strike…
TDLR- I most likely have the flu and my work tried to force to me to come in and care for literal babies while barfing and sick. I can’t name names because unfortunately I still work here and don’t have the money to leave right now but I’d still like to get this off of my chest. I make 9.25 an hour and work in the infant classroom, my youngest is 2mo and my oldest is just under a year. We’ve had a lot of people quit in the past few weeks, so we have no one to cover if anyone gets sick. Nearly everyone I talk to that works with me is planning on quitting as soon as their probationary period is up, and right now I’m right along with them. Most of the teachers work the morning shifts and work 8hrs straight with no breaks, they’re lucky if…
