So I have medical documents citing that I have covid for 3 weeks and this last test showing I’m negative. So I was MIA for 4 weeks for work at this warehouse that packages paper. I hate this job. But it’s the only job in a while that could pave my future and family for the better. I work through an agency, and the position was temp to hire. So I stuck to my guns and grind through 12 hour shifts for 5 days to try to keep it, and survive a new field or work. Now my agency is telling me that after I’m finally negative. That the work had to keep production so they’ll have to see if the position is available still. I’m mad, sad, irate. I’d take this on the chin but I have my family to support. I work in California. What the fuck can…

I'm a student at a university in northern Virginia and I'm soon to get my bachelor's in government and international politics and honestly I'm not sure if my degree will get my a comfy office high paying job ro live in the dmv area. I grow weed and shrooms and I'm good at selling them I can make more money and love comfortably cartelling. At this point my degree will just show people I'm educated.
And they wonder why we quit…
I’ve been at my service job a couple months but the pay kinda sucks compared to others in the area, and they keep adding me shifts to days i can’t do, so a couple days ago i handed my notice in over email. I went in for a shift today, my first since I handed my weeks notice and all the managers completely blanked me, the GM (the way he talks staff is another reason I quit), decided he was going to give me a list of tasks entirely out of my job description. i’m meant to be just a server, which is all i’m paid to do, but he had me drink running, cleaning as well as serving, which i’ve never done before and he gave me no training on. I should’ve refused but i thought screw it it’s my last week. i spilt one drink (not bad for…

Overworked mom
My mom (in Louisiana) is the only employee working at a local gas station. The other employee is out with COVID. She's been scheduled for 16 hour shifts more than 40 hours a week. Thing is she's paid in cash, and not being paid overtime. Thinking it's too avoid paying taxes.
My manager encouraged me to quit
I work in childcare and I get paid like shit. I’ve been thinking of quitting for awhile because I can’t afford to be paid $11 an hour. Anyway, my manager and I were talking yesterday and I found out she makes less than me. She’s thinking of quitting soon because she has a baby on the way and she can’t afford things while being paid like shit. She encouraged me to leave because she understands I can’t afford to live, and I’m really happy that she understands. Anyway, just wanted to get that out. Super happy about it.
Wrote a poem you guys might appreciate
I was not made for this world And all it's sorrow and hate I was not made for this world And all it's pain and heartbreak I was not made for this world And it's dreary nine to five I was not made for this world Where you're too stressed to feel alive I was not made for this world And it's never ending loss I never asked to be born Yet every moment I pay the cost I was not made for this world And I can't wait to leave To a place dark and peaceful Where I'll never again greive
First: mods please delete if this violates the trolling rule (but there is some intention behind this)… This is absurd, but I decided during my monthly supervision with my micromanaging capatalistic tyrant for a boss, I will be putting THIS SONG (link below) on a continuous music loop in my office in the background: https://youtu.be/7YvAYIJSSZY Yes, it won't do much. And I am not even sure this individual has the intellectual capacity to discern the shade I am trying to signal their way or if they even truly care until our staffing shortages dip another 2-4 resignations before they have to be impacted by the labor losses from their shitty maltreatment of the employees they “supervise”, but it brought my colleague and I some joy knowing we all agree to play this nonstop for a few mandatory meetings we have with them as our “light background noise” per our company…
