For those who have escaped work—how?
I'm curious how folks have escaped the rat race?
Today at work.
I work for a catering company at a university and all of these sandwiches and pre made salads were just opened out of their boxes, only because we thought we were having over 300 people but turns out they never showed then management told me to throw it all away in total 35 sandwiches and 56 pre made salads this was such a waste of good food.
Is anything not work from home’s fault?

First review with the boss
Had a review with my boss which she rated me 2/5 for my overall performance because I get my job done but don’t go out of my way to help others with their job. I get paid $10.50
One of our property managers quit. They didn’t have the time (or the budget?) to hire & train someone new before she left. So they brought over an assistant property manager (APM) from another property to be “trained” before the PM’s final day. Then the APM they brought to the main office took over all of the previous PM’s portfolio and responsibilties. She has been managing her properties alone with no help/support from upper management for about 2 months now. So last week I found out they had not given her the title change or pay raise to compensate for her new role & responsibilities. I asked what reason they could possibly have for not compensating her and giving her the title she deserved for basically saving the company’s ass when they had no one to replace the long-standing PM who left.
