So yeah I'm kinda pissed, they either didn't provide him with the proper gear, equipment or lifting techniques. Supposedly they're really hard on new hires. What can he do about this legally?
When I was hired on, I was told that occasionally when things were busy I would have to work around 50 hours a week, but I would be working 40 most of the time. I’m at week 8 of 60+ hours a week with no end in sight. I just refused to take on another project that I have absolutely no bandwidth for. I’ve had radio silence from everyone all day about it. I want to say I’m worried about losing my job but honestly I don’t give a fuck at this point. And if they were to fire me they would be fucked, there’s literally no one who does what I do who can pick my work up. About 600k in contracts would go down the toilet if they fired me, so your move bitches. So cheers to not giving a fuck and wish me luck while I look…

Full time lurker. First time as an OP. Hello, I started my job a year and 7 months ago and I loved the first year of it. Steady work, great management (I know right?) no drama. Then the magic suddenly went away or the honeymoon phase of working as I call it. 2023 happened and these last 7 months have been miserable: management quitting/ coworkers coming and going policy changes etc., drama among coworkers who were once “friendly.” The last bit of it are these new people who got hired at our job. Nice at first, then turned this place into a toxic work environment. Gossip, cliquey, chaotic and I don’t feel present anymore at my own desk.
