I am so sick of the people I work with but lately their insanity has been keeping me up more than usual at night. I work at a chiropractic clinic as a rehab assistant where I have been for a year. My boss is an old white guy who thinks he is doing God's work by “curing” people of all their pain. He makes us chant really weird, awkward mantras before every shift. I've disliked working there from the start but it pays pretty decently so I've kept working there although I've been keeping an eye out for other opportunities along the way. It’s been eating at me so I’m just going to let it out! My ex boss is a terrible person. She had about 120 employees during the pandemic most paid at minimum wage. She received hundreds and hundreds of free covid test for the workers from the state. She hide them in the basement and made employees buy their own test when they needed to be tested due to symptoms or exposure. The test were at least $20 and I know this was hard for some of the minimum wage employees to purchase. She also twisted the covid rules to her financial benefit. I’m sure this resulted in at least 3 clients being exposed and passing. I really hated her and stayed way longer then I should of. I am a hard worker, I am autistic 38M, fully employed. I have often described my autism kind of like being a train… the conductor and the people change, but the route doesn't, the train goes back and forth, or round and round all day, that is the kind of job I have, I do my tasks well/efficiently/properly/correctly, it doesn't take long, I get in every morning at 8:30, my tasks don't start till 11 (already have 2 hours 30 minutes to kill in the morning) my tasks take 30 minutes or an hour and a half, then I spend the rest of the time listening to podcasts/audiobooks or watching movies, tv shows. Just started working for a big hotel, it was advertised as a luxury hotel, decent pay and several benefits. The only benefits are the expensive health insurance plan I can't even afford, and they told me I would be getting paid a dollar more than I am. I confronted them after my first pay stub, and they lied and said they never said that, even though the job posting said it would be more as well. Plus, this hotel actually sucks. I wanted to work somewhere nice because I am great at cleaning. I did not want to work somewhere that is dirty and you just get a huge workload because they don't care about quality and don't hire enough people. I'm really tempted to just quit now. The problem is, the entire industry is struggling and I know I will have to keep fighting this battle of being under…
