Just remembered this time my old boss..
Just remembered this time my old boss asked me to stay after work, stating he had a wonderful financial opportunity for me. He played it up that I was the perfect fit and he'd specifically chosen me for the opportunity. Thinking it was something type of promotion, I paid for my kids to stay in the after care program so I could attend the meeting (which was money I didn't have at all) . Turned out he was trying to get me to sign up for an MLM he was part of selling cleaning supplies.
i work retail part time btw. a few cents above $13/hr and my monthly pay is usually around $600-800 (if someone took a vacation that month), ive also only worked here for 2-3 months and have already taken 3 sick days, one of which was used due to a chemical spill and inhalation of toxic fumes, both at work. was just wondering if this is normal ??? im autistic and calling out only twice every FOUR months seems very unreasonable imo

When I gave my notice, the reactions I got were more intense than any other job I’ve had, probably cuz it’s a trap of a job! I got: -joking threats from mgmt -shock and some tears from nice desk mate “how could you leave me here” -sad joy from the other nice person -are you joking from the…

Tired of the wage games
I’ve been with my company for six years and have worked my way up. One of my better employees is leaving for a management position somewhere else. She has been with the company less than three years. Turns out that at two levels higher than her, I only make about $4k more than her currently. I’ll be putting out my resume in the next week or so to find somewhere that will pay for my experience. I grew up with boomer parents and have the company loyalty mentality but that might be gone now.
