Regardless of where you work, I think there needs to be some sense of happiness in the workplace. it’s not just so about money, but where you feel comfortable and don’t have anxiety or depression or hate your job. If that’s not the case, find a place where you can absorb the environment of your Company values and your people you interact with. That may not be a option for people who are working as a slave for a minimum wage job or slightly higher. I have learned after 25 years that people do well who relate well to others and have a skill set on what the company wants. Best advice is to get a job with a company with 100+ employees

I worked at a bbq restaurant for a year and two weeks ago they fired me out of the blue. It felt like I was finally freed but also completely screwed over.
