Living the dream. Today I had a meeting with my boss and HR to go over how my attitude and performance need to improve. This just a week after calling out my boss for taking credit for my work in a private 1 on 1 where I danced around the subject as a “frustration”. Just feeling like I need to vent, tired of the stupid passive aggressive work life where your boss is more likely to step on you than praise.

Manager Reviews
Today our executive leadership team revealed the results from the company wide employee reviews of leadership and management. The results on how the company feels about leadership were significantly down from last year’s. Leadership’s take away? “You all must have filled out the questionnaire wrong. We’ll make the questions clearer next year.” Fuuuuck you
The reason I’m not reapplying is because my boss warned me that there is lots of interest in the position and the role will be completely based on seniority. Meaning I will likely lose the position I’ve already been doing for the past year to someone who might have even just a few more hours than me working for the district. I asked if it goes by seniority how did I get the position last year? My boss answered that there was one opening and one applicant. Thanks! Full disclosure, I work for a school district so this isn’t uncommon, but that doesn’t make it right. Kept asking my boss to call me and he hasn’t so I eventually told him today over messenger that I won’t be reapplying. He’s read my message but hasn’t responded…
Me leaving work everyday
Next time your employer demands a reason for you not being available, try telling them you’re drinking with your favourite deity. Please have a back up job.
I don’t check my work emails on phone
Hi, to give this more context we were given work phones. We have to log on and log off at the end of each shift. I do this in work so don't use the phone all that much. I was on annual leave for 11 days and when I came back to work my manager was mad at me for not checking my emails. I told him I was on annual leave and it was well flagged in advance. He said I should be checking my work phone. I had my auto out of office on and he had my phone number. I'm still not quite sure why he is so mad because after reading through 178 emails I don't see what the problem is. There was no issue with or urgent requests in the email. Did I make him mad by turning on auto out of office. Shrugs. Unsure…
Previous employer paid for my cpr and first aid class that she signed me up for. I worked for a bit then hours got cut until she no longer responded to my messages. She finally gave me my last paycheck after ignoring me. She deducted the class from this paycheck. I think it's unfair and wrong. I really needed that extra money.
Let’s talk about “tenure”
Pretty sure this is just a buzzword used by bosses that essentially means “my special little good boy” because it’s honestly valueless. Anyone who is proud of their lengthy “tenure” is an NPC my mind. The only real way to make money these days is to job hop and leverage your experience from your last job hop. Raises and promotions are all external now if you’re a current employee you can get fucked. Thoughts?
Finding A New Job Is A Nightmare
Finding a new job has to be one of the most annoyingly arduous, anxiety-fueled experiences that I've gone through. I've had to do it twice this year alone. I go on all of these interviews and get told my resume is pristine and a good fit for the company. That I'm what they're looking for to fill the position. You've heard it all before. Then I hear nothing back. Just when I think I nailed it, there's only silence. It's stressful as hell. Why do these people take forever to respond back? My old job I got laid off from is hiring again, and management said that they want me back. I'd be getting more money and other benefits. All I have to do is apply for the position and it's smooth sailing. But they haven't posted the position yet and they want to start bringing in new hires on…
