little information: I'm a chronically ill and autistic person. Also queer and unfortunately in the US south. My current job punishes me for my medical conditions and have threatened to fire me if i miss another day ( i have missed 2 days in one year so far). I am chronically fatigued and still come to work no matter how im feeling unless I cannot physically lift myself from bed. my coworkers are also very bigoted and talk about how they want to murder lgbtq people daily. Aside from the obviously unsafe environment, i am severely underpaid and i end up doing 90% of everyone's work in the office. I cry every day after work. I don’t care if its my post or someone else’s. It needs to start somewhere. Less hours. Less days. More time with our families. WE are the ones allowing this. If we all just stood up, there game would end and we can have our lives back. Start pushing back.

Hey everyone, I suppose I just wanted to vent and share this frustrating experience. I applied for a Laborer Custodial position back in November of 2022, and then a Maintenance Mechanic position at the same location in December of 2022. I interviewed and went through all the hoops for Laborer Custodial and got a job offer in January 2023. The schedule offered was great and I accepted. However, shortly after accepting I received notification that I passed both the 955 exam and 972 interview panel. I quickly called USPS and told them I would actually like to wait to be offered the Maintenance Mechanic position rather than moving forward with the Laborer Custodial one. I work as a teacher throughout the school year so I wanted a part time job for the summer for some extra dough and things have gone south fast. My first day came & went. No problem at all. Manager was absent which is unusual, as they usually show me around. Few days come around, still no manager or official training. I see other new hires have a uniform. I have no uniform still. I also see my other coworkers receive their computer training, I still have not even after texting my manager & DM. they’ve pretty much said we’ll let you know when it’s time. At this point, it’s been 3 weeks & I have still yet to meet the manager. My new hire coworkers & I have barely been scheduled. My coworkers are all getting mad bc the new hires are barely getting scheduled. Us, new hires, are…

Its either work Monday – Thursday 2pm-10pm (8 hour shift) or a shift which would be one week work Monday and Tuesday 6am-2pm (8 hour shift) and Friday Saturday Sunday 6am-6pm (12 hour shift) and the other week only work 6am-2pm (8 hour shift) Wednesday and Thursday and keep switching every other week. 1st option – works 16 days in a month for a total of 128 hours 2nd option – works 14 days for 136 hours.
