i don’t know why this isn’t already the conversation but all these people working as middle management, medical, emergency and practically every industry had to climb the ladder to get up to $20+ an hour. the starting pay for every job should be no less than $20/hr. you shouldn’t have to become a supervisor to make $20+ an hour. every job that requires special licensing/certification/degrees needs to be starting at a higher wage. i feel like most of the pushback against 15/hr is people comparing their jobs shitty pay to it when those people should already be getting paid 25+ starting. STARTING. why isn’t this the new argument? $15/hr isn’t enough. the minimum wage should be $20/hr.

References should go both ways
Managers should require references from their subordinates if they're applying for new positions. Treat your team like shit? Pay for it.
Work hard and u will find success is such bullshit, guys be working the jackhammer for 50 years and end up struggling when the monthly paychecks stop. Sieze the means of production

Is an associate degree just a waste?
So, I studied my ass off, got an associates degree and yet no one really seems to notice it on my resume. It’s like, “oh you have some college” no… I have a degree, not “some college”. Am I missing something here?
