Work treats me like shit
So I've been at my job for almost two years and i hate this place but haven't found anything as close to my house as this job and when i applied I applied for a certain position but they ended up demoting me to a lower position that I didn't apply for. Any advice on how to subtly fuck these guys over? Edit: the pay is ok slightly above minimum wage but I have been applying and I am trying to go back to school but bills keep piling up and making me stay hereand making school a hard to thing to continue
Quiet quitting today
7 year practicing attorney here… quiet quitting my job starting today. I get paid too well to quit so they can keep paying me until they realize I’m neglecting all their clients and cases. It’s such a great feeling!
How long do I let this go on?
I work for a doctor’s office remotely and they hired someone to replace me in-office. The staff there has let me know that my replacement is being trained for my position directly from the software company, rather than having me train them and I’ve seen the new user added in the list of usernames. I didn’t even know they were hiring for the position. How long should I let them do this before I just quit? Or ask them to get it over with?
In your experience, do you think companies would rather hire someone with less experience for a job, because they can get them to do more difficult tasks for lower pay. Or do you think people who are newer to a field struggle to get in? I ask, because I noticed in my office that we just let go one of our senior managers from another section from mine, and that section now has two new junior staff (one just graduated from college, the other graduated 2 years ago). I was told by another coworker the manager was really upset about what had happened. As far as I could tell, he was really well liked, and no one saw it coming.
Hello My employer threatened to fire me, making up lies, taking 1 thing I ve been doing recently and make it appear ,in a mail, as if I've been doing it for a year but that's a lie. Taking advantage of a little sentence in contract, which was supposed to be removed but he put it back in the new contract. Making me doing the job of another person while my own work is not coming. I've asked for them to give it to me but they won't. This phrase means I can help in other tasks as long as it's MINOR. But that's not “a little” Been doing it since about the end of March/start April 2023. He said I have to do it til minimum end of August. Threaten to report to the client who pays me that I refuse to do it (I never said I refuse…
Non US here. I was hired about 6 months ago to do some account management. I had done sales for years before that and frankly I'm over it and so I took this job as a way to get away from it. Business starts to struggle globally and so it's now all hands on deck. Ok… I do my bit but after about 4 months of this, stress starts to build up and i start falling behind targets because I'm now in a sales role and not an account manager role. Just got an email from my bosses boss that we're to start working 4 days a week in the office. But we don't have a fixed office so it's constantly dragging my work stuff between 2/3 different hot desks. I'm done. Currently looking up new jobs that'll tide me over while I study a new degree while I reinvent…
