Today was a normal day at work clock in clock out about 5 PM. my boss calls and proceeds to fire me and accuse me of Time theft I have been there a little while and was just about to get off probation. The time theft accusation was basically a missed punch that no one brought to my attention before or after the work week ended.

Just a thought
I’m only 17 at the moment but from the work experience I’ve done I can’t tell if following my dad’s advice of “Leaving my emotions at the door” has really been all that helpful. I’ve been told by my coworkers and managers that I’m very robotic, military-style, and too serious. When my coworkers try to joke with me, I can’t respond because I’m too afraid of being caught laughing, so I just brush them off. It’s not like I’m trying to be mean, but I am trying to be distant. I feel like work is easier when you have nobody to impress and instead are just there to do your job and go home. Trying to make friends is just…pointless, especially if they’ll be gone next week. I have a lot of mental health issues and my dad is very pro “be tough” and “you can’t let your emotions show”…
Please tell me if this is a legit development strategy, but I feel like it is not. Okay. So my department is split up into several divisions. Each division members have their own unique skill sets. But right now they're trying to rotate people into different divisions so that those “unique” skill sets are acquired by everyone, so that when someone (or everyone) in a certain division is unable to work, members from the other divisions are able to back us up. I feel like there should be, idk, more workers in my department instead of my supervisors doing this? What do you think? I'm unsettled by this strategy.
My performance isn’t up to par because I’m supposed to be struggling and learning It takes at least a year to get remotely competent at this job They’re judging me off my first 6 months
The sad reality.
Pretty common.
My wife drives for dominoes. A few months ago some young people in an apartment thought it would be funny to write “Fuck you” on the tip line of a receipt. My wife was very upset by this because they could’ve just wrote 0 if they didn’t want to tip. When the then manager finds out she blacklist the person who did it. Well that person got all pissy saying that my wife must’ve wrote it to get her in trouble on purpose for not tipping. Most people stiff their drivers, if they were malicious against everyone who didn’t there wouldn’t be anyone left to order pizza in no time. It’s complete bullshit. Well that person then calls corporate to complain and the now manager who is different tells my wife that since that person called corporate and escalated it so much that my wife MUST be lying and they…
