I work for a commercial construction company in marketing. Today my male wealthy white boss, the President of the company, sits at our table of 8 women during the company employee appreciation picnic. There are about 85 people present, and 8 women just for context…. My boss is that guy who jokes waaaaay too much and makes really messed up comments under the guise of being a joke. He starts off saying he is there to bring sunshine to the table because we look like a table of crabby old women. He goes on to talk out his ass for the next 15-20 minutes and says things like: – in the good old days when women knew their place – I don't understand why we don't get women applying here, and not many minorities either… -the American family began to fall apart because women entered the work force – the…

Found out I was being underpaid
Without getting into the nitty gritty number details, I found out that for the last year I was making about 3$ less per hour then I thought. Spare me the “it's my fault for not noticing right away and doing something about it” I know I'm partially to blame, and naive for trusting the amount was what I was promised. I just feel incredibly betrayed, and taken advantage of. Needed to talk about it. Definitely learned my lesson.
