Context: I’ve been with this company going for 7 years now and I’m now the Quality Assurance Manager; couple months before Covid I was moving to a different city (1 hr away) from the office and they granted me permission to work from home. Ok, so a few weeks ago we had a senior associate leave the company and a big portion of her responsibility was given to me to handle. On Thursday towards the end of my shift we had around 30 orders that have not been sent out to the customer and my boss called me and was upset that they were not completed. I had my hands tied all day and the staff in the office had no concern to help me out or take initiative and complete these orders. I get a call on Friday and my boss yells at me saying that I need to…

Story time (know your worth)
Synopsis: recruiter a reaches out to me with a role I'm interested in. We arrange to speak the following week. Recruiter b (Ivan, same company) cold calls me Monday because he noticed recruiter a had not followed up yet and is… Horrible. I email recruiter a and tell him I'm no longer interested in working with their company after my interaction with Ivan. This is the email I sent when he asked me what happened. “Well, I can just give you a quick rundown. I made the assumption he had my resume and the job posting you showed me. He said this was contract to hire, which you didn't say nor was on the jd you sent and I had objections. I had issues with contract to hire jobs because if they do not hire, you do not get unemployment, and I've been in one and they are not a…

Story time: Last week, I was scheduled to show up to work at 7:30 a.m. This means, with my 25 minute drive, I generally wake up at 6:30 a.m. I got a call at 6:00 a.m. telling me I needed to be to work by 6:15, I obviously ignored that call because it's before my alarm, and I keep my phone on do not disturb for this reason. Anyway, I showed up as early as I reasonably could and they were still not happy with me.
