I will preface this with the fact that this guy is very immature, friends with the current supervisor (a new supervisor is taking over next week.) He constantly has his tablet watching games on the shop floor while we are actively working, meanwhile others will be singled out for having phones out while there is down time. not wearing ppe properly and he has even blocked my car in several times at the end of the shift when it is time to go home. I don't know why he does this, I guess because I'm relatively quiet and “different”. Anyway, here is the chain of events. I washer trying to do my job efficiently to achieve two results Keep the receiving line full to more quickly free up space to allow the presses to be emptied and refilled quicker. This recent post on here reminded me of a job I had when I was at uni. I was working in a call center processing retail finance applications. My shift started at 9 and I used to show up at 9 every time. I got into so much trouble, they always used to tell me I needed to be there 15 minutes early to be ready to start my shift. When asked about the low numbers our trainer tried to sweep it under the rug by saying some people were just off that day, but added that “some people just don't want to work anymore” which really made me wary. I was just wondering if these sounded like potential problems or if I'm just overthinking…
It hasn’t even been a week and they’re posting those people’s jobs already. SMH.
