I'm losing the will to be positive. I'm exhausted mentally, physically and emotionally. I'm sick of recruiters calling me about jobs and then rejecting me mid call because I didn't meet their standards. You told me you had my resume in front of you, you should fucking know I don't have that type of experience. Also I never applied for job in the first place. I'm getting sick of this shit.

Hello all. I had a meeting with my executives to discuss grievances that I had and that other employees had happened to mention to me. I wanted to advocate on behalf of my team members, but now my boss is demanding names and says if I do not give them I will be written up. This feels wrong, can she do that?

I work for the cafe of a small hotel. Coworker was acting unreasonable for a week and half. I ignored her but it's hard to work as a barista when the other person is not cooperating. So the other day an argument happened and she claims she went through my phone and found something offensive that was definitely directed on her. It was not even about her but she perceived it so, so she made it a deal and one of the guests got disturbed, so she came to address. I left after because said employee made me feel uncomfortable and checking my phone and all of that. Said employee has been complaining since I got hired there that she doesn't make as much tips as before because the pool with me is bigger now. i went to hr about a month ago because i was being falsely accused of things by my supervisor and the manager did nothing about it. hr started investigating, and now, 3 weeks after they started investigating, they're saying that they have evidence that i did do the things i was accused of and they want me to consent to a polygraph. problem is, i didn't fucking do it. so whatever evidence they have has to be faked. i don't know what to do.

Getting sick and tired of applying for jobs only to have some moron email me and say the position is closed. ….not just on job boards but on the fucking website under career opportunities.

And it's pretty simple. You take the annual income of the lowest paid employee at the company and multiply it by 40. If the CEO makes more in one year than their lowest paid employee can make there in 40 years, they are part of the problem. For example, the federal minimum wage in the USA is $7.25, which works out to $15,080/yr (based on a 40 hr work week). In 40 years, an employee on minimum wage can earn a maximum of $603,200. So yeah. The threshold for me is calculable, which I like because I don't automatically hate anyone who is wealthy, or earns 6 figures, or had support from their parents to give them an advantage in the world. Was just thinking about the whole situation and the internet's response. Nobody seems sad or remorseful, I've even seen tags like #compresstherich. This should be a scary omen for the wealthy, people don't really care about, and some are actively rejoicing in, such a horrible (albiet very avoidable) death. Edit : Just to be clear, I also don't feel bad for them, just commenting on how this is a clear “sign of the times” so to speak.
