So I recently posted: https://old.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/1264l3n/why_are_unions_worker_reform_workers_compensation/ and an awesome commentator mentioned that there are leftist groups working behind the scenes doing the important jobs of networking and such. What leftist groups are known throughout the community for this kind of amazing work?

If you’ve heard of Normal Gossip — I’m imagining something like that but specifically anonymous work stories…dealing with free riders, scammers, just generally bad coworkers. Light-hearted, funny, gossipy stories about work interactions. Each episode is one story.
Lazy coworker makes more money than me
I work 1st shift, which is 8am-4pm. The dude who does 2nd shift works 2pm-10pm. The 2 hours that we are together, he does absolutely nothing other than eat and scroll endlessly on his phone, occasionally literally laughing out loud, while I do all the work. So he gets 2 free hours, but it doesn't end there. Around 4-5pm, depending on how productive the day was, operations basically stop to prepare for the 12 hour day workers shift change: 6am-6pm/6pm-6am. So he gets atleast 1-2 more free hour(s) during all of that. You'd think he'd use this time to get his job done, but you'd be wrong. He half asses every task, claiming he doesn't want to be bothered by “extra work”… on top of all this, 2nd shift works a 6 day week every other week, so he also gets a full day of overtime on each check… the…
What do I need to know if I am fired?
I have had a contentious relationship with my employer for the last couple of months. It’s part time remote work with a flexible schedule. For the past year I have been working Saturdays only because I stay home with my daughter. My manager approved my request to work just Saturdays because I am very efficient and good at my shitty job. The week I was set to start the new schedule the manager abruptly left. Thankfully he did inform his replacement of my situation. We then went through a comical amount of managers in a short period of time. We eventually ended up with someone who was very good and I had no issues with the new schedule. That manager ended up leaving because of the toxic work environment and low pay. Before he left he requested a pay raise for me which was approved. Of course after he left…
It seems unions, worker reform groups, all these various organizations are to insular. They need to network and work as one. Can you imagine if all the various unions, worker reform groups, and so forth worked together and put pressure together? My fuck that would be absolutely massive in the media power they would have, the influence power, money power, man power, the list goes on.
Awful “owner”
I quit my first job due to me doing all the work after coming back from vacation, it was pretty decent nothing to complain. I was jobless for a couple months, then I found a job pretty close by where I live. It was one of my favorite local restaurants that was opening a new location. I met one of the “owners”( wish he calls himself) seemed pretty nice at first. He wasn’t there for the beginning months but suddenly he decided to take over that location. He managed to make one of the workers to quit in the middle of a rush due to him not doing it his way. After that incident I had a bad feeling things were only going to get worse. Couples weeks pass by and I notice that he makes racist comments about Mexicans every now and then which bothered me, since I’m Latino.…
This is just a hypothetical, not something that I’m dealing with.
I am writing this post to share my story and seek support from those who understand the pain of being betrayed by an employer. I worked as an environmental engineer for a small company for over a year, and what started as a promising opportunity turned into a living nightmare. This company had a total of 11 employees, where the junior engineers were all young females and the senior engineers were much older men. I was eager to learn and grow in my field, so I put in long hours and taught myself everything I could, as the senior engineers were unwilling to properly train me. Despite my hard work and dedication, I was met with constant negativity and discrimination. I was made to feel guilty for taking my 5 vacation days, and was given a performance review where they demanded more from me without any clear explanation of what…
