Built for rent housing complex?
Is everything to be a subscription service now? It's almost like they bought up all the affordable housing driving up the prices and now they just decided to cut out the middle man. Also, the story says $2200 a month is the rent. $2200 x 12= $26,400 a year. SMH. They won't be happy until you own nothing of your own. I get living in an apartment but for some reason this just seems wrong to me.
Happy Juneteenth my friends!
Trying out for a job?
So I interviewed at a bagel shop local to NYC and it went well. However, they asked to come back tomorrow and work for a bit with them to see if I can keep up with the pace. They asked me to be there at 8 and expect to be there for 2 hours. To my understanding I won’t be an employee and I won’t be getting paid during this period of time. Should I go through with this or say no? I’m kind of desperate for a job, so it’s frustrating to be put in this situation. Any advice or help would be much appreciated.
When I was 17, I started working at the local McDonald's. Everyone had these cute little pins that they put on their hats, not all of them were themed after the restaurant but some were. I had gotten a pair of earrings from my grandma that I didn't want to wear but thought they would be perfect for my hat, I put one on the corner and wore it for around a month. One day I was upfront and the main manager was talking to me, somehow my pin came up. She began to embarrass me in front of several other people by telling me how I wasn't permitted to have anything that wasn't from the company. So I started to cry while I took the earring off that so offended her. The shitty shift leader then pointed out her new pin and said “look mine isn't breaking the rule!”…
I’m not sure I want to go back..
Today was pretty awesome and I'm trying to figure out how to make it last permanently.
