My company is all over social media with Juneteenth this and Juneteenth that… but it’s not on the calendar as a Holiday. Fake virtual signaling at its worst!

I am not an HR expert nor a lawyer, but something about this seems incredibly wrong. My company I’ve been with nearly 10 years, major international corporation, is mostly male dominated due to the type of work. Historically, you would not see Women at the job sites, which means many Women didn’t make it into Managerial positions either. The industry is still male dominated, but it kinda makes sense.. it’s brutal, physically demanding work, that requires you to work on a job site away from home for weeks to months. Most Women I know who went into this line of work quit in 6 months or found a way into a different type of support role. You’re welcome to list separate positions in your reply but for sake of post, just count each company as one tally. If you have worked in a contractor role, count each job or company as 1. I’ve been having panic attacks all day over this, but months ago I told management that I was going back to school since I don’t like the current field I am in. I currently work in an office in some pretty rough conditions. The blinds are closed so there's no natural light and we have no privacy – not even a cubicle where we can escape being in full view. we aren't allowed to leave our desks for more than ten minutes at a time either, so it's eight hours under strip lights in exactly the same spot with your boss a couple of metres away. I worked as a healthcare recruiter in Cynet Health Pvt Ltd. Last month I started having some cervical issues as I got in an accident 2 years ago and I have been having certain complications now due to which I had to take 5 days off last month. As a healthcare recruiter we survive on the commission of our working candidates. I have one active candidate and this another girl in our team had none since 7 month. I got a new job offer from a company I felt really good about. The management just seems really chill and talked about caring about each others time as some people have kids and other life things and they end early on fridays and have 3 days WFH etc. I feel really uncomfortable.
