My (F50) Co-Worker recently started to boss everyone around work telling us what to do and how to do our job, most of us ignore my (F50) Co-Worker and keep doing what we do and the job gets done at the end of the day. (I've been doing this job for 2 years)(we work in a distribution center) Recently…. The problem started when (F50) Co-Worker started criticising other co-workers instead of helping solve whatever issue is going on when there is one, and when she does help she makes sure my supervisor (F 40) is around to congratulate her for such good job…. This are her functions: seats behind a desk and computer next to a walkie talkie awaiting for co-workers to call for her help regarding a location within the warehouse. She relocates products that are not supposed to be in certain locations She fills up empty locations with…

Just curious if one doesn't have to give notice especially when you are desperate to leave and dread coming back
Over time question
I just started a new job. Worked 35 hours training at $17 an hour then 10 hours at $7 and hour where I hit overtime. What rate should the OT be paid at? I’m being told at 1.5 of the $7 an hour? I live in Maine? Also I posted a few days ago about not getting the schedule I was promised. It all worked out.
Hurrah, lets all celebrate and drink a little extra tonight.
Ain’t that a B$?!
Long story short. Been working from home for several years and am one of very few people who do what I do. Boss told me that I have to come back to the office. I said sure but also let her know that I would immediately start looking for alternative employment. Now the best part about this is that I’m unionized and cannot be fired without just cause. This all initially happened last week. Fast forward until today she asked me if I was going to leave so that they could post my position as there are four major projects coming up. My response? As per the language in our collective agreement, I will provide you with the required notice if and when I find something elsewhere. Could be a week. Could be months. Could be years. Could be never. You think I give a fuck about your projects? I…
They make you answer a video in a 3 minute clip. Some give you like 2 attempts and others give you one attempt. I’ve had 2 companies do this to me. First off, I hate seeing myself on camera unless it’s it has a filter or something and I’m taking a selfie. And the camera is always flipped around and I look really bad. I feel insecure, I hate the sound of my voice. I don’t even make tiktoks because I don’t like putting myself out there. And thus, I fail at these types of interviews. Anyone have these? I don’t like how this is the new fangled thing. Not everyone likes to be on camera. It’s so impersonal.
Rehire process for same old job?
I was recently laid off then I was hired as contract per diem employee with the same company. Now, there is a full time position available for exact same job title I was doing for the last 15 years with the company. I applied for the position, now I have to go in for the interview. Mind you, the job is exact same title that I was doing for last 15 years before being laid off. HR told me apply like I'm an external candidate. Weird? I thought opportunities are given to internal candidates first. My question is, is this a set up? Is the company trying to say they did the part by giving “fair opportunity”? I feel like the decision has been made already about me.
