A lot of kiosks are popping up around town. Instead of asking a cashier, one enters the meal into the kiosk and you pick it up to go. The kiosks have a fee to use them (which is odd, but whatever). There is then an option to tip… often up to 25%. I feel odd tipping in this situation. Sure there are people making the food, but we rarely tipped more than a buck at these counter services 5 years ago. I was just hoping for the community’s perspective on how much to tip, if at all!

Today I did something I have been wanting to do for along time. I emailed my boss, the president of the company, and 2 HR people. It went a little something like this, I have been subjected to numerous comments and actions that could only be described as discriminatory towards me. The harassment and discrimination have become unbearable. I would ask that preventative and positive measures be implemented to stop this behavior. I have spoken with HR as well as management about the harassment I received in the form of verbal and emotional abuse. Since the behavior has not changed since my reports, I believe it is in the best interest for my health and family to seek employment elsewhere. Just applied to a job through JobDiva, uploaded my resume and it got BUTCHERED – it listed every separate task as another job, with no title, etc. I can't be bothered to go fix it, I don't understand what they hope to get out of that except the most desperate unemployed (which I've been but currently I have a contract, just looking what else might be interesting). Really, is that the best major corporations can do? How is that better than just looking at a damn resume and running it through word recognition software? The company I applied to was IBM for a fairly senior position.

I currently live with my parents and attend college (online), I've been applying for jobs for the past 2 months and am starting to feel hopeless/useless? My parents made it clear that they are fine with me not working during school but would like it if I had a summer job for extra cash and socializing. I know my own limitations (high anxiety and asd) but it also makes it nearly impossible to work anywhere that will actually hire me. Maybe its the capitalism in me talking but I constantly feel like im falling behind everybody my age who started working at 16/17 or can handle high stress jobs + college. I just kinda feel like im freeloading and am not acting like an adult should. Even though I know it's not true and that I am doing the best with my limitations. Has anyone else here felt the same…

Saw the below post in r/AITA (spoiler- she’s the asshole) and it really encapsulates the spirit of the entirely unreasonable demands from “we’re all family here” workplaces: I 23F have 3 kids, age 3(girl) , 2(boy) and my youngest son being one.
