I work as an SDR at a start up and they love my work but, I have depression and the last 2 weeks it's been hell for me. Does anyone have a template I could use to resign? The stress is overwhelming and I've already taken two mental health days to concentrate on what to do next. I just don't want to be there anymore. I sound pathetic but some friendly help would be appreciated.

Specifically UK. I am full time employed salary staff and am leaving my job in 2 weeks. I know I don't have long left but they are doing this with other staff in the company that have longer to go and this has really pissed me off. We have some clients that keep cancelling session times for various reasons. Usually if a client cancels we do admin jobs at home. As my client has cancelled ALOT recently, admin jobs are scarce so we're left with not much to do. My employer has now decided that if a session is cancelled then we need to take that time off as annual leave. This means that if an AM time slot (9am start) is cancelled at 8am then they will be taking that time off as holiday. This happened yesterday and I argued that I hadn't had enough notice period for it…
With all this back to office stuff and their ridiculous reasons, I am curious if anyone actually made/found a bff at a corporate drone job? If you did how long did friendship last after either of you left that job?
Took two days off from work and spent almost $100 on train tickets to take an admissions exam and then have a follow up interview with a company in NYC just for them pass me over for the position. This is such fucking bullshit. It was a 25 question reading comprehension test that a 3rd grader could pass, and then a 10 minute interview a few weeks later. Why none of this could have been done online is beyond me. I was really looking forward to this job because the benefits are second to none with decent pay. The only requirement for this job was minimum 1 year experience in a manual labor position. I've been doing manual labor for almost 10. Plumbing and HVAC. And somehow I'm not fucking qualified for the position???? We should be able to just invoice these companies and charge them for wasting our fucking…
Either that or management is trash and your business deserves to fail.
Rant about finding jobs
I am an undergraduate college student (graduating next semester) and I’m home for the summer. I’m a psychology major so it’s pretty hard to find jobs and internships. I applied to several summer internships and got rejected from them all. So I decided to look for jobs instead, I was prioritizing jobs related to mental health and helping people with disabilities so that I can get some relevant experience. But I also applied to jobs such as cashiering at grocery stores, receptionist jobs, fast food, retail. I’ve applied to over 50 jobs, and been rejected by 15 so far. I literally have experience working in fast food AND in pet care and I’ve been rejected from all of those types of jobs that I’ve applied to, they never even offered an interview. I put a lot of effort into writing my resume and cover letters even when cover letters are…
Whaaa-aaat?
I was just pulled in to my boss’ office for discussing wages. I have a single employee under me and I had asked her a week or two ago about her pay structure, not about what her compensation is. She’s in a sales position so I simply asked about if they were paying her hourly, salary, per sale, etc. As her manager, I feel like I’m privy to this information. When she told me she was salary, I left it at that and did not ask for what amount of salary she is making. Well she went and snitched on me for “asking her salary” and my boss just spoke to me about it. They were actually nice and had my back about it, but they were saying that the owner would be making an announcement next week that discussing wages is against policy. Should I be petty and bring…
I've been seeing a lot of companies try and intimidate and push workers to get back into the office. I've been thinking about it and wanted to share some of the things I DON'T miss about working in the office: All of the daily car accidents on my commute to work and asking myself every morning “Is this the day that I'm going to die commuting to a job that I hate” Shitty coworkers that have nothing better to do than gossip about other coworkers like we're in high school again Wondering if today is the day that “insert crazy unstable coworker X here” finally snaps Leaving my dogs home alone for 10 hours and coming home to them being depressed and having urinated or pooped on the floor from having to hold it so long Getting sick on a regular basis because “insert sick coworker X here” insists on…
