My bosses are clueless yet micromanage randomly

They are a married couple, not getting along. It is totally insane. Day to day things change. Its a family business but I'm not family. I essentially run the whole ebay, shipping side of things and handle vintage things…. New at job with false security cameras and unsecure entrance

I am a new employee at a store – Full Time Assistant Manager. Now, going in, the Store Manager relayed how it is hard to keep a full staff in the store. I thought nothing of it until a theft incident. An individual walked out with a load of merchandise … just walked out with them. The Store Manager informed me, as the full time assistant manager, that the cameras do not work and that the sensors at the front door do not work either. I am like “haha that explains why there is such a high turnover here” – Of course I did not say that. Can an employer require you to use volunteer PTO?

My employer provides us 4 hours of volunteer PTO each year, and in previous years there was no expectation that those hours have to be used. This year my department made volunteer work one of our yearly operational goals and my manager has notified our team multiple times about volunteer opportunities, reminding us that is one of our goals. The volunteer work must be for a non-profit and approved in advance by our manager, and would replace 4 hours of standard work so that we do not go overtime. We would also get paid by our company the same amount as our normal hours. When they notified us of this goal in the Spring, I already had a volunteer experience lined up, however it did not meet their non-profit requirement (it was volunteering to work at a convention) so it wasn't approved for VTO and I used PTO for it…

Checked my hours today, will be paid 600€ too little

My boss edited some of the hours I stamped, and is also not paying for the public holidays. Adds up to around 48 hours I will not get paid. I will wait for the paycheck, but it was like that last month. I just couldn't do much because I did not track my hours as neatly. He has about 50 employees that he probably does the same stuff with (every coworker ive talked to experienced the same). Around 25.000€ in his pockets that should be in ours. Unbelievable. I am going to court now.

Holiday Pay for Salaried Employee

So my husband is not happy he has been working for the same company for 18 years, so many things have changed since their company became corporate owned. He is on salary but non-exempt he still earns overtime if he is needed for overtime. A year ago if someone was assigned to work on a holiday they are paid $300 plus given a floating holiday as incentive. Since nobody wants to work the holidays. Last year the holiday pay was decreased to $175 plus a floating holiday. This year however he worked on Memorial day and he was told that there are no more dollar incentives just the floating holiday. Also holiday work is mandatory and is distributed with a staff of 4 operation managers. We are in California, is there a wage law that is broken here?

I’m supposed to be a mental health tech

Bruh, I took a massive pay cut, 16 an hr, please slaughter me over it, I thought I could get in the field be comfortable enough to pay rent, the interviewer says there’s always extra hours. One week into the job, they’re setting up stupid ass protocol for people to not get over time, this includes, leaving 30 minutes before patients are discharged for a 20 min drive( company vehicle) to then have another tech go back to the same facility where you just came from, to Bach the place where you dropped off the van, mind you, you’d probably get 30 min to an hour extra a day, which is 16 fuckin dollars, this place also complains about e.r visits for patients and these company vehicles are practically falling apart
