Okay, maybe not as dramatic as it sounds, but my boss decides how she’s going to treat me for the day based on how I greet her in the mornings. If I say something simple like, “hey, good morning”, she’s asking me if I’m okay, what’s going on with me, and automatically bombards me with tasks to do……, but if I’m like “hey! Good morning”, with a little more pep, I notice her attitude towards me changes. She won’t give me any tasks until about 11am and she just has an overall better frame of mind. It’s SO weird and honestly makes me want to quit based on that alone. Like, why is this so personal for her? I, like so many of you, have never enjoyed the concept of having to work for what is essentially your entire life. I think it's bullshit and while I am not a suicidal person, I hate this life is and how it's 'supposed' to be lived. Any job I've had, I find myself going through the same bullshit cycle. Get a job > excited for new opportunity > realize job is a BS waste of time or I just simply don't enjoy it (I fear this will be the case for most of my life) > find loopholes to get out of doing work for 8 hours (WHO THE ACTUAL FUCK WORKS FOR 8 HOURS STRAIGHT AND WHY AM I EXPECTED TO) > lose almost all motivation to excel in job > keep finding loopholes > lose job or move onto the next one. So i went to this conference cause i got a free ticket and there was this start up pitch competition, and most of that is hot air, selling bullshit, mostly “we will teach you to code” ideas but the worst one is the guy pitching this app, where you choose what you are feeling, “fear, anxiety, depression” and then the app plays prerecorded talk from a therapist. He actually pitched it as – “companies report that when their employees are depressed they have 20% less sales”, he specifically says they target sales employees, that the companies can buy a subscription, if I remember correctly 39$ per person and that after the use the companies have reported 35% more sales. I really was upset by this idea, cause wtf, your employee is depressed and all he or she needs is a pep talk from an app and yay he can make…

So this ISN’T MY POST, found it on a local Facebook group. There is a restaurant that closed suddenly with almost no notice to their employees and were pulling the sign down immediately. This is despicable how they treated these people.
