I work for a trucking company and they were going to switch me from office stuff and into a sales position. For the last month and a half, almost 2 months, they have had me doing sales calls and setting up meetings for the person in the position I would be applying for. I was told today that I am no longer considered for this position and that I need to keep working hard and in around 2 years I might be able to move into it.
Shaking in anger as I am typing this, but I work for a large insurance company as call center agent within their behavioral health department. I was looking forward to having Monday off until…. My supervisor drops the ball during our team meeting letting my fellow temp and I know that since we are not perm, it will be mandatory for us to work on 05/29. To make things worse, I don’t get any extra pay either…. no overtime or holiday pay. There isn’t much of a solution anyone could offer with this I just want to vent! ARGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FUCK THIS JOB
i dont want to live like this
im 17 and ive always been against/never understood work and how shit the pay is, how “minimum wage” is less than half what its supposed to be IDK!! im just scared and mad i think. ill be an adult next year with no plan, no transition phase, no help, no nothing. i just dont know how ill be sustainable. it really does seem impossible now. how do you even start adulting and money and move out and grow and be happy?? its just not possible i dont wanna be an adult this shit sucks ass why cant we all just live together in harmony lol
Explanation is pretty much in the title. When I told her I don’t have what she was looking for even after thoroughly checking the places at my place where it could be, it was not good enough for her. Seems pretty unreasonable to me. What are y’all’s thoughts?
Layoffs at Work
The company I work for laid off a few people today, it’s so heartbreaking. I hate it here, before this job I was laid off at my previous employer. So many mixed emotions being on the other side. I’ve been applying for about a month and I have an interview scheduled soon. I’m hoping to leave soon.
I've been looking to make a career change in order to make more money. Obviously, I don't have a lot of professional experience in this new field. Every “entry level” listing I have found requires at least 2+ years of experience in something or other. The entire point of entry level positions is for people with little to no experience can get their foot in the door and actually get experience. I hate job hunting passionately.
