Category: Antiwork
I was given the impression this morning that Workmans comp, for a pretty serious injury, was surprised my 3 months of light duty hasnt resulted in me being magicly fixed and returned to full duty. What they don't seem to get is that 'Light Duty' at my job is only the exact same amount of incredibly strenuous physical labor packed in to the doctor allowed time frame as much as they can get. And full duty, would be the same, except I would be forced to work 12 hours a day 6 days a week with no mercy. I need a new job, but finding new work that I'm qualified for, and that would be physically possible for me is proving a depressing challenge. I feel stuck, and now I'm worried they are trying to ease me out of this claim before I'm ready.
I work in the theater industry on the Marketing side. I had an eight week work plan and I didn't do as well as I should have- there were tons of other factors impacting this, but I don't want to make any excuses since that's what my bosses think they are and it's my job to be on their good side. As of today, I'm accepting a two week performance improvement plan that, if I don't improve, I will be fired. I will lose financial stability and my health insurance. Most of all, I will lose the respect of my family and friends. I know this won't be an easy two weeks. I'm coming to terms with it. But being hit with the possibility of losing my job has made me suicidal, as stupid as that sounds. I've been told by my boss that this might now be “the right…
Rather inspiring.
I work at a bar and lately my boss has been waiting until the last possible minute to send out the schedule for the week. It’s regularly been every sunday but the last few weeks it’s been getting sent out on monday morning at like 9 am and the shifts start at 4:30. I’m sitting here trying to plan out my week and I don’t even know if I work in 7 hours. Just makes me mad that people are okay with this and all she says is “thank you for your patience!”
From this guy’s training at his work:
I was terminated (fired) some years back. I would like to see what your views are of a firing offense rationale. 1) I did not break any laws. 2) I did not violate any corporate policies rules etc. 3) I did not cost the company any money. FYI nothing sexual about the situation (which would be a corporate policy violation). So let's see what you all come up with as a possible cause to fire someone subject to the above conditions.
Ways to Receive Money
I am thinking of trying out some small business, and want to receive money anonymously. What are the ways to go about it?
