There is rumors flying. All the dirt happens when I am not at my part-time job. My job planned to fire half the staff and had to back out. The replacement staff they were training did not like the environment, pay, and lack of job safety. I found out this from the customers and clients. They were around when the job was training the new staff. I was asking for more hours. I was never called for the hours they gave the new employees. I lost my last job due to budget cuts. I told my boss to call me for shifts. He would not. On Friday, my boss called me to fill in the once filled shifts that I wanted. The new employee quit. Rumor is the new employee quit because it was too much for minimum wage and no safety for them. Thankfully I found a second job…

Thought Y’all Would Appreciate This
I hate it, it’s not fair, I just want to put roots down at a company and grow in my role around people I enjoy working with and respect, and build my pension and seniority and rise through the ranks. Instead I’m stuck uprooting myself every 2-3 years and being the new employee each time and having to learn a new role and company culture, because these shitty companies don’t care to retain their existing employees – won’t give raises even close to matching market/inflation, I’m sorry but 3% every year is a JOKE. Inflation is at like 14%… I am sick to death of job hopping but when it comes down to my measly 3% raise or leaving for a 15% pay bump, I have no choice. Bills need to be paid. /rant
Worker’s Anthem.
Hurts to listen to when you know we are considered as Expendable. https://youtu.be/GSKeECZ7Cew
Does anyone else feel this? On a regular basis I worry about losing a job a hate because it took me over a year to get it in the first place. I’ve been toying with the idea of leaving and getting a completely different job but I doubt I’d be able to get health insurance
This got taken down for some reason
Idk why it got taken down but im going to post it again. My dad works as an axuwary and has to work 10 hours to hire himself for 1 hour
As per company policy
I just joined a new company in Boston and 3rd week in this is an email the boss sent. Hi All, I have noticed I have been receiving leave requests recently and as per company policy…… you don’t need to do this. Just email me the dates so I know you are off. It’s not always bad, keep your head up Also I added the …… for emphasis
Stuck between two new jobs.
So I left my toxic workplace about a month ago, terrible management, nutty coworkers, benefits that did not benefit me (free gym memberships don't appeal to me when I work at the place all damn day and just want to go home). I found out my old boss at the bakery was hiring and thought it sounded like a great idea but then I found out the guy I was having problems with is still there, he wouldn't let me have a proper lunch break, had a major power trip problem, blamed everyone around him for his mistakes. Well I was randomly scrolling indeed and found a position for overnights that pays $2 more plus 10% for being overnight, I have experience in warehouse work, hours work better to spend time with my fiance due to his schedule. Long story short, the pros outweight the one con of having to…
As titles says… I live in northern Idaho, if you didn’t know idahos minimum wage is the federal low of 7.25, while most places pay more than that my towns wages are still extremely low when compared to cost of groceries and rent prices. For example, I pay $1,200 a month for rent, and our grocery bill is probably about $100/week, this is even with us not buying most meat at the store because my partner hunts and making “cheap” meals with rice beans etc. Add internet, gas, phone bills, car insurance, and that total comes to about $700/ month so a conservative estimate of total costs per month is ~2,500. Maybe this seems low, I don’t know but average wage is about 12/ hour, I’m a student so I don’t work full time but even so it just seems so not worth it to me to spend majority of…
