I work as a lifeguard and I have overheard that my boss is going to make all staff sign a contract that basically states that we can get terminated if we don’t perform our tasks and if we are on our phone or talking to one another while guarding. Everyone at my work usually does what they’re told and we never have anyone that doesn’t follow the rules. I don’t know how I feel about my boss giving us this form. Is this a normal thing that happens in the workplace? Should I sign the contract?

I didn‘t want to pass out due to exhaustion. I used to feel a bit lightheaded and irritable working hard and not eating for over 3 hours or so. It has been better at my new cart attendant job, but I think my habit of snacking every few hours for this past year will make it difficult to work a lab job I may soon be working, where I can‘t even keep a small snack in my pocket.
Attention aspiring management
I just read this quote while I was halfway down a rabbit hole and, given I've had FAR too many incompetent, lazy or simply stupid supervisors and bosses in my time, it really resonated with me. So I made this in the hope that the big colours and small words might somehow sink the message into the psyche of those hoping to lead workers. I've attributed the quote to the best of my knowledge and anyone who wants to use it may have it Alternately, if I've inadvertently broken a sub rule, sorry about that and please feel free to take the whole post down.
There really shouldn’t be multiple interviews it’s pretty stupid.
Spent last weekend away with my family to get a much needed break. Boss called and asked if I can open up a pdf she sent me because she had a question on it. I said that I'm not home so I don't have a way of viewing the email and she sounded irritated and in a way surprised. It's like she assumes I sit around on the weekend waiting to be summoned. Anyone else experience this? It's like employers can't fathom the thought that an employee may chose to do something not work related on the weekend.

Everyday we wake up owing someone. I just want to be able to wake each day and find what truly makes me happy. If money was taken out of the equation what would you do with your life? How would you spend your days if you lived for yourself? I just wanted to post these questions that have been floating in my head. Please be kind. Everyone deserves to be heard, there are no stupid questions or answers.
