This is from another post i made on latestagecapitalism but it was removed, low karma. I also added to it. Anyway. I have a friend, we disagree on a bit. He loves this guy named Elon Musk. You may of heard of him. Elon Musk claims to work 120 hours a week, which is about 17 hours a day give or take. He praises the glorious paradise of china, every tankies dream society, for working so many sweet sweet hours. While calling Americans weak and lazy, unwilling to work hard. “They won’t just be burning the midnight oil, they will be burning the 3am oil, they won’t even leave the factory type of thing, whereas in America people are trying to avoid going to work at all.” Not leaving the factory is right, they have been known to literally sleep on the factory floor at his tesla plant, and wake…
So my brother is a locksmith at a university and he makes keys and locks for all the doors. He asked to borrow the keys of someone so he could check something. Well apparently those keys opened nearly everything in the school. Including the dorm and it would cost a lot of money to replace the locks for every door in the school if they can't find it. My brother said he remembers giving the keys back to the person who let him borrow them. So I'd need some advice I can tell him so they don't just gang up on him and put the blame on him. EDIT: As far as I know there are no cameras where he was so they really can't prove anything
I got a chuckle from this
My coworkers have had various reasons to leave the office early. 30 minutes, sometimes hours. One has kids that are graduating. Before that she had something legal going on. My other coworker has had things happen with her adult kids and her teenage granddaughter and was out of work multiple days, then leaving crazy early (like 2-3 hours) on the days she was here. Her kids and grandkid are fine now, but she has continued to leave early every single day. My boss is pretty much never at work so I won’t even get into that. I have found myself working alone for the last half hour or more almost every day of the week for months now. And I don’t mind working alone, but is the principal of it. Technically speaking, I’m working more hours for less pay (I know I make less than them. They’re sales, I’m just…

This is the second time this year she was fired for some bullshit. First time was after her boss found out she was in a same sex relationship, and now today with doodling during downtime. She was on day 4 of 7 days of 10 hour shifts in a row. I'm pretty sure it was just an excuse, since she kept trying to switch to part time because the hours she was given were killing her. I hate it here, I want out of SC, I want out of the United States.
I am a district employee. My pay breakdown is 7 hours a day for 188 days a year spread across 12 months. I was talking to my boss about some things regarding next year, and she mentioned that we are all getting a “Substantial” pay increase. I asked if she knew about what that would be yet and she said it was somewhere around $20.60 an hour. Go ahead and do that math really quick. Now, sure, that’s about a dollar more than I’m making now, but when I didn’t immediately jump for joy she graciously reminded me how great of a raise that is to get in one year and how they’ve had years where they couldn’t give raises at all. She was genuinely sour with my reaction. Anyway, paraeducators in this district get more PTO and make $27 to start and need less education. Might be time for…
