Advice – leave job to make a point or use it to my advantage?

Short version – I have a management position and have not received a raise in over 2.5 years. I have asked my CEO and they said they will do an evaluation with a raise, however it has taken them over 3 months to 'type it up' and claiming he's just too busy. I know he knows I deserve one and even says so himself, he even adds responsibilities to my role. I break my back for this company – come in on weekends and work even while on vacation because I am the only one who can do my job. My role is extremely important to keep this company running and I do not feel as though I am valued or prioritized. I had applied to other jobs and got an offer for $7k more than I make, but less benefits ($250 a month to tuition is a big loss…

My S/O has got into a situation. What is the best way to move forward?

Last post was removed so here it is without a screen shot of text. I was on the phone with them and heard the manager in the background yelling at my SO. There was a disagreement with another worker on a messenger app so the manger came to confront my S/O. The manger was yelling and calling for other managers as well. S/O said they were going to leave and the manager said if you leave don't come back. S/O left obviously… were they fired or is this quitting? What is the best way to respond to this conversation so they can collect unemployment? She no longer wants the job. Here is how the conversation went: S/O: Hey PAYROLL, MANAGER tried to corner me and was raising his voice at me so I told him I was going to leave. He told me not to come back so l'll need…

How do you prove indoor pollution in Florida?

The central air intake is moving the air from the top of the building into every hallway. For the past few weeks and for another month the roofers are working on the top of the building. I have worked in roofing before – it is more dangerous than being a police officer – but at least I was outdoors and had fresh air. No such luck in this building. The bathrooms (when it is men you smell the women and vice versa) just smell like tar. I tried to google what the effects are but all I get is advertisements. How bad is it to have the taste in your mouth and breathe this air for a month?

First disrespect, now cut my hours

I work as a server. I make decent money, usually at least around $100 a night. It’s enough for me. Close to $200 on a busy one. I work usually 35 hours and 4-5 days a week, closing most nights. My partner got super sick out of now where a few days ago, vomiting and all that jazz… I was worried for numerous reasons… he was home alone and struggling to take care of himself, I had been feeling a bit sick myself for days prior, and then I find out two people at my work had called out sick too, one of which had Covid. I notified one of my managers, was told it was OK and they’d see if someone could cover so I could go home and rest/test. Second manager comes out and lays into me. Tells me that vomiting isn’t a symptom of Covid (it is),…

This is the feedback I have recieved, what do you think?

Context – I'm still feeling really dissatisfied here because I was really hoping I'll get this opportunity just trying to analyse few things. It was 5 Round process for job recruitment and after 5th round I go rejection. 2nd round was Test assignment. It's funny how He mentioned to me that we will take further interviews only if your work in assignments stand out or you Clear that round, we will not waste your time etc. That's the usually norm but he specifically emphasized on this point only for me recived this feedback if they had issues with my work should have rejected me right there. I also I get the Gaslighting vibe from few points because I clearly remember I didn't say some of those things for example that I'm interested only because it's remote. I'm open to office job also it's just I had commute issue with my…

Why doesn’t anyone ever name blast on here?

I very rarely see companies actually getting called out by name. With all the horrible things they put us through and the change we want to see, why wouldn’t you want to name them? If there’s rules against it, find a way around them.

Never be overly loyal to the company you work for, because they aren’t going to be loyal to you!

Worked for my current company for almost 5 years now, I'm the longest tenured employee within my department with atleast 3 years on other employees. I've been here through 4 managers, 15 co-workers and have over 12 years of experience 2 of which were as a supervisor role. In the first 3 years I never got a raise or a bonus, I got fucked over during covid being one of the only employees to come into work while sales staff were kept at home and paid the same amount of reduces hours as me (30). I've stayed late probably over 100 times eventhough I have a family waiting for me at home and stuff to do. My manager of 1.5years got let go due to his performance (he didn't know as much as he claimed to). Previous to that my supervisor left and I was promised the role, I propped…

The job offer I have, which requires me to start on Monday, cannot provide me with an offer letter due to an HR vacancy.

In the first week of May, I received a phone call from the job I had applied for, and we agreed verbally on the terms. I also requested them to send me an offer letter, and they said they would do so when I met with HR the following day. However, it turned out that the person I met with was not actually from HR, but rather filling in temporarily due to an HR vacancy. This person worked in the sales department and provided me with information about the benefits. Shockingly, she mentioned that there would be no 401k contribution, no paid time off (PTO) until after one year, and no days off on holidays. As an accountant, this was quite concerning, especially considering that on holidays, there is typically no work due to banks being closed. Moreover, they expected me to handle the company event. The position I applied…
