Bullied at work. HR may be my last hope.
I've been employed with my current employer for 7 1/2 years. I love my job, the pay is great compared to my area's cost of living, and my coworkers and I work well together and get along. That is, all except for my leadman. I'll call him Don. Don has been with the company about 3 years and quickly moved up the ranks due to his happy demeanor and great work ethic. He was promoted to leadman about a year ago and supervised a small crew of 4 people, myself included. The promotion didn't include a pay raise, so I declined it. Instead, I was tasked with training Don for the position, which was fine by me. That's when everything changed. Within weeks of being promoted, Don became more aggressive in his tone towards us, but more so towards me. Just a few highlights include: 1. Telling me I was…
I've got a bone to pick with the system, and I can't hold back any longer. Picture this: I was an efficient and dedicated office administrator, ensuring everything ran smoothly. I was stripped of my position, leaving me without a job and a sense of purpose. To make matters worse, the person they brought in to replace me was utterly clueless. They had no experience or understanding of the responsibilities I had mastered over time. And what did they expect me to…

Our boss decided to make us sign this “new rules” after we asked him to reinburse the gas money we spent on our vehicles to work on a 50 miles away project he pulled a few months ago. Is this legal?
It is so stupid. If the managers are in charge of scheduling people, they should also be in charge of finding coverage. It’s just one more thing to offload to the employee for which they have to be responsible for. If a manager doesn’t want to be in charge of finding coverage, they shouldn’t be managing.
Faking hiring for follows/likes
A great example of how demented the world is. Prey on those looking for work for a follow with never intending to hire.
