I’ve already went like 14 days without rest. He’s asking me to do the summer and then leave. (For a little raise) What can I say ? My social life is dead I need time for myself

The true difference between the extremely rich and the average worker is that the rich are able to shield themselves so thoroughly from the basic messes of life that after awhile they forget that messes exist. Problems with vehicles, plumbing, appliances, hot water heaters, furnaces, roofs, on and on, the sort of breakdown that a person of average income might lose sleep over or feel was a sign of impending doom are unknown to the very rich. After I read this comment, I immediately thought of the politicians and their donors in the US, business owners, and the C-Suite of a corporation. They have had whatever resources they have needed for so long that they have forgotten just how hard life can be without the financial resources that they have. These people only hear the whining of their underlings that they need more money to live and they have become…
OK, so what’s your exit plan?
I see so many posts here about people working and complaining about their lowly jobs. Retail, Customer Service, food service, etc. What's your exit plan? Surely you don't want to be in your current position forever, so what are you doing to better your situation?
A lot of the 1st part the rose-colored classes of collective and selective nostalgia. Especially, when it comes to the times of our youth. We're all guilty of it so you can excuse it somewhat but to look down on others for doing said jobs because you are an ageist and a lot of the time narrow minded at best and at worse elitest is wrong. For everybody who let's say flipped at 16 or so, so they can have extra money to chill with their friends there are countless others who do it because they have to and for many reasons it was the only job they could find. Hell, we all know people who are vastly overqualified for whatever job they are doing but for some reason or another couldn't find a job and/or pay that matched their actual skill set and worth. That is why this upsets…
Considering all the crap we go through, regulations, sacrifices, fines, outright bribery, we really should’ve just said “no, we aren’t doing it”. Grocery stores would’ve gone dry in a day or two, not to mention supplies… things might’ve changed for us. But I’m guessing the public would’ve crucified us for trying to better ourselves.

The Disappearing White-Collar Job
I work as hr manager (lol) and the company has company's birthday in the next month. The party will be in a luxury restaurant and it will be on a weekend. I don't want to go there because I don't have such good relationship with my coworkers to spend time with them on my weekend. But I don't know what excuse to use since the boss of the company can say something “u are hr manager u must be there”. Any ideas? Thank u.
