Long story short, my boss blew off the time I was going to be able to leave work 3 times. Kept saying I can't do it because I have school. I ended up staying an extra hour after being given 2 different changes and I'm pissed. I don't want to go back, but I have 20 hours of paid sick time. I plan to call and say I have food poisoning to get this week off, then just ghost them. How do I do this?

I’ve been working at a factory job for the past 14 months. 7 of those months I worked in the company but was under a staffing agency and had to wait 6 months for company to consider me as a permanent employee and a month long hiring process. I have been working the rest of the 7 months explicitly through the company. During my employment, I have been getting violently ill to the point I have to leave early or too weak enough to get out of bed. I try my best to work even if I am violently ill. I was sick with COVID and worked the entirety of it except for one day. All of my personal time and vacation time was devoted to me being sick. I called in sick last week. I had a kidney infection and since I only have ONE working kidney as it is, this was a pretty big deal… Just found out the boss told everyone in the office “She knows she has let the team down”.
How to Hide Wealth Inequality
I was talking with my partner about wealth inequality in the US and found the first chart on Investopedia. I noticed the custom y-axis, so I plotted the same data with a linear axis to get a clearer picture. Cold take, of course, but this is what people mean when they say the top 10% owns everything. Am I In The Right Place?
I’m a supervisor in a warehouse and my manager (dept. manager) is a monster! He went up to a storage location, without the proper safety lanyards or PPE. He climbs up and tries to dislodge a stuck piece left there by an outside contractor. While doing that, the pallet of product moved forward and got himself smashed between the pallet and guard rail of the forklift he was illegally taken up on. He was almost passed out from suffocation, when I decided to bring him down, pallet and all, no matter how painful it was. Long story short, he was ok. I was traumatized, because I literally almost killed him. He told me to keep it quiet, but the work relationship has since soured.
