Hi guys! Anyone have experience being put on a perpetual PIP? What I mean is, company put me on pip previously for 2 weeks. Then, because of the amount of work that popped up, they extended my PIP by a week. Then again, tomorrow, signs are that instead of firing me they will extend my PIP again. Perhaps because they want me to quit instead so they don’t pay severence, don’t have to be the bad guy (lots of ppl in the office like me and I have a good enough reputation), and they are just afraid of not meeting their deadlines without me for now. Let me know if this happened to you and how it ended up..

My new vp… isn’t who I interviewed with
So I find my new vp to be very contrary to who I thought I interviewed with. we talked about empathy and mentorship and a sense of camaraderie in the office and its not by any means hostile … But I’ve already had to stand up to some mean girls …. And this new boss barely looks at or speaks to me. She’s v passive aggressive. She’s very avoidant. I thought I was going to be collaborating with this person. :/ I’ve made a handful of errors in these first 60 days and when I have, the feed back is so shame based and devaluating of all the other work I have done successfully. It feels more like she’s training a dog. I’m shocked because I didn’t see this coming in the interview. And I’m not as tolerant of crap in my lates 30’s. so I can def like stick…
In a few months the US government and its loan servicers are going to start collecting student loan payments again. Most Americans are going into more debt every month after month just to pay the cost of living. How are the millions with student loan debt going to cover the extra monthly payments?!
Breathing Between Jobs
I’ve been working 60 hour work weeks for the last 8 months and am putting in my two weeks the day I get back from my vacation (company policy we lose our vaca once we announce two weeks) on Weds. I have enough job offers and have piggy banked enough I can take a month off this summer, even if I’m going to be living on the bare minimum it’s going to be amazing to just LIVE and have some mental capacity where I can reevaluate my shit and what it is I want to be doing. Looking for some advice on suggestions of how to spend this time the most wisely. I’ve got some house projects to finish I would have had to pay sometime to do, a membership for a kayaking spot down the street from my house (twofer of gym and getting outside) and I’ve got some…
Don’t work at JPMC
A warning for anyone working at or thinking about working at JPMorgan Chase & Co. A warning for anyone working at or thinking about working at JPMorgan Chase & Co. If you work at JPMorgan Chase & Co. or are thinking about working at JPMC, you need to know about their employee surveillance tool called WADU. WADU is an acronym for Workforce Activity Data Utility. Every employee at JPMC has a profile in the WADU database. I think everyone expects their employer to track them to some extent. It is pretty standard practice for employers to monitor and run analysis on things like building badge swipes and the amount of time spent connected when working from home. It has also become very common place for employers to record audio and video at the office. WADU is on a different level. It is an artificial intelligence & machine learning system for…
This past year, I was offered a job with the company I interned at over the summer. As an individual with ADHD, I work better in a quiet environment. So I accepted this remote job, and declined offers with better compensation. Not to mention the fact that I have a girlfriend in my current city, as well as family and friends I want to stay close to. This morning I got an email that all new hires would be starting in person in another state, with less than one month till my start date. Employers don't care about you.
