Gotta love this corporate mindset

First time poster here, 22(m). I work 12 hour days here in the U.S. I unload planes in the middle of the night and then substitute teach at elementary schools. Right now I'm burning up. I've already taken the Ibuprofen and Tylenol. I'm hydrating. My shift is in 5 hours. Should I go in? I really can't afford to not work, but also don't want to endanger others. I can't emphasize enough how deep a hole I'm in financially, and get ZERO paid leave. This means I also can't afford the doctor if I get worse. Do I call in to protect my coworkers or go to work to protect myself?
I had filed for unemployment benefits under a previous employer. Obviously, she claimed I was fired due to “misconduct” and I’ve had to appeal my case. Today I received her letter to the appeals branch claiming I only worked for her in order to receive unemployment benefits and that I was (and still am) taking advantage of her “kindness.” I’m disgusted I worked for someone so egotistical, but then again, she is an attorney.
I work as a housekeeper for a company I hate. I won't name which, but it's a timeshare that's currently facing quite a lot of lawsuits. For context, I'm autistic. Undiagnosed atm because my family just never did that and getting diagnosed as an adult is a long and expensive process in the usa. Housekeeping in this location is a fine job for someone with my specific issues (namely social problems and being partially non-verbal) because I spend 90% of my shift by myself, focusing on just cleaning the unit assigned to me, and then I report everything to the front desk via text message. All of that is fine, where it becomes unmanageable is with my bosses and my schedule. They make two schedules at a time, one for the current week. This is the “final schedule”. The other is the “draft schedule” for the next week. It's exactly…
“I am unable to find that information right now.” “You will need to ask this question to someone else.” “That’s for you to work on and figure out.” “I wasn’t sure what we would need you to do.” “I can’t find this file. Maybe you deleted it on purpose.” “The way we’re working through this project right now isn’t efficient. Why do you look so angry?”

I was moving to another city with my friend and got a job. Literally the day I was suppose to start my friend changed her mind about letting me move in. I didn’t show up that day because I had to quickly get my stuff and move back in with my mom. A month later I have another job in the same field and go to this statewide convention and the manager of the job I didn’t show up to was there. I didn’t recognize her at first but man did she notice me immediately. She proceeded to lay into me for 10 minutes how she held this job for me, how the workers were excited to have me because they needed me, how unprofessional I was. So mortifying and I didn’t get a word in on how I was basically forced to not come cause homelessness. Later on saw…
Anaphylactic Shock at work
This is a story from my wife who works for a shit employer. The short version is the company she works for does not have a no perfume or no cologne policy. Her coworker has gone into anaphylactic shock 3 times at work, very clearly due to a dude who wears cologne. They work in cubicles, and only the big wigs have offices. She has requested to WFH and been denied because no one at the company is allowed to. She won’t be given a private office because, according to the company, she would still have to use common areas and hallways, so it won’t do any good. They also won’t enforce a no cologne or perfume policy because “they can’t control what people wear”..? Seems very very strange. Does she have a leg to stand on? To me this seems like an ADA violation and she should sue the…
A positive post
