How Much Do You Pay? – Eyedea
…When I saw my man playing away on his drum Something clicked in my brain and I became less numb I'm working for bread crumbs Pretending there's a meaning But my employment is just a bucket, I'm desperately beating And one day, I'll be old and retired Looking at my life like what a waste of good fire All because school never taught me how to be inspired And the job concerned applying to myself just wouldn't hire Make Money and die that's the American Way How Much Do You Pay? Little known antiwork song I've carried with me for 20+ years now. Lyrics
KPIs tailored for us to fail
Mind you, I'm actually quite happy with my job, and my manager happens to be the sweetest person on Earth. But I was speaking to her recently about how these KPIs seem to change to get harder and harder as my team is very efficient and good. I told her that this makes no sense to me, as the job is the same, and the fact that we're being so good should make us just top performers, not become mediocre ones by making KPIs harder every time. Hi Reddit, M, 20 years old, living in France. As per the title asks : is there any way for me to find an easy, not too stressful online job that wouldn't require me to work full time, taking into consideration I have basically zero skills ? I don't even need a lot of money, 400€/430$ per month would be more than enough for me to live. I know I'm basically asking for the Graal, and that I am going to get laughed at, but I'm just so desperate. I speak fluently English and French, can understand Spanish but can't really speak it or write in it. I have a degree in library sciences (with some knowledge of archives). I used to take art commissions to get some money, but stopped drawing a while ago, and I'm just really bad at it. Hobbies include bread-making, raising chickens and goats, hiking,…
Feels like some kinda op lmao, all of a sudden there’s post after post of how good their managers are on an anti work sub. Just a bit odd
Imagine being this out of touch
And then they complain because they can’t find talent as everyone now understands remote work is king.
