I work for an industrial company that contracts in the refineries. I messaged my head project manager who’s in charge of the region and told him ”hey boss, I haven’t received my W-2 who do I go to so I can receive it?” Just left on read. I went to the shop to gather material for another job site and while I was there he avoided contact with me. However he spoke with someone else standing next to me. It’s been months now and it’s frustrating that I haven’t gotten it yet, what can I do? I’m seriously trying to leave this job but it sucks because they have me caught by the balls with really good pay. Just long hours
I no longer will let myself be abused…three strikes I'm gone. Did we not learn in COVID?! How did shit get even worse….
The trends
I have observed a recurring theme on this sub. Trend 1. Employee: I would like to quit. Consider this my 2 weeks’ notice. Boss: Don’t bother, you are fired effective immediately. Trend 2. Employee: I quit immediately. Not coming to work from tomorrow. Boss: Shame on you, I expected a two weeks’ notice.
I’ve worked at my Job for a full year in healthcare, they promise full tuition reimbursement, I am due to start classes in May, my supervisor just told me that I cannot lower my FTE as it was promised because they need people on weekdays, I can’t handle waking up for work at 4:25AM, getting ready, driving 45 minutes, starting at 6:00 working 8.5 hours, getting off at 2:30 to then have classes start 2 hours later without enough time to drive home between, where I will then be there until 8:30, then drive home and get there at 9:15, to then have to take care of everything, not be in bed until 10:30 at least, and then go to bed to wake up at 4:25 and repeat. If I quit I lose the tuition reimbursement, if I withdraw I’ve already lost all the out of pocket expenses I’ve paid,…
I got fired and rehired lol
I was fired from a job I hated and I said on my last day “I give it a month” and to their credit I was called two months later at which time I was already working another job. I came back for the money in a part time capacity with a pay raise and promptly fired myself after 8 months xD For clarification I worked for an training organisation in a necessary role, I was the guy that did the data entry that would get everybody paid and the archivist. The person they hired to replace me was 3 times slower then me, I timed it, and I made people aware of this but hey you can lead a horse to water right
